Also, check in your areas for temporary Halloween stores! They sometimes carry wonderful crushed velvet capes and poet shirts and stuff like that. I always stock up on black candles this time of year. Two years ago we found a beautiful burgandy crushed velvet cape  for me! They also had black and royal blue and dark purple ones all with hoods. I love my cape!

I always stock up on black candles at this time of year too. I especially like these black ones I get that are called "midnight" or "witch" or something similar and smell awful (like skunk), they're great for protection against nasty people and return-to-sender spells. :)

Hahah! I never thought of using particularly stinky candles in protection spells, Willow! Great suggestion! :p :D
There's a year round Hallowe'en store in town - it's a convenient store, but they have a second floor that's pretty much all costume stuff. I went just before Hallowe'en last year so probably their best stuff was gone. I'll have to check it out in the next couple of weeks, though... :)
Would it surprise any of you that I've been a witch for the past few Hallowe'ens? :T

there's also a year round costume store in San Antonio, it's a party store or something, it's been a while since I was there.

This isn't for costumes or capes but for magical/Pagan clothing - I design the site for one of my best friends - http://digitaldenial.com/dhodgins/
