I am at my wits end with my cat Vincent.

He chews on everything, he is worse than a puppy! He chews on ribbon and then eats little pieces of it, and later we find it vomited up all over the house and in the littler box. He likes to chew on paper of any kinda, books, envelopes, letters... he even gets things out of my purse and chews on them. We've come home from a day out to find plastic bread bags on the floor and chewed to bits.

Does ANYONE know how I can make him stop? (Short of pulling his teeth out!!! which I wouldn't really do anyway...but the thought has crossed my mind...)

Not only am I upset because he is ruining my gift-making projects and my grocery lists and such... but I'm afraid something will get stuck in his tummy and he will have to have surgery to get it out! (While aside from tragic...I can't really afford now!!!)

I would do that... but then we'd have to spray the whole house with vinegar, unfortunately.

Nothing is safe from the chewing monster cat!

I guess the best would be to make sure everything you can is out of his way. In short of spraying everything will citrus scented stuff?

We totally try to keep everything up and away from where we think he can reach it...sad thing is he isn't afraid to jump! =o)

That would be cool, if you give me the name of it maybe I can use it on some of our things...!

I suggest squirting him with a water bottle bottle every time you catch him in the act. Worked on our little one.
