Since I've been working with this one for a little while and am sure there are plenty of other out there who use the Qabalistic tree combined with Tarot, I thought I would post this spread. I have found it to be very good though for those of you with no leanings or knowlage of the Qabal it might not be so easy to understand. It might however inspire you to learn about the Qabal and help you understand it and how the Tarot relates to it.

Important things to think about with this spread are the pillers. Form on the left being femanine (water, earth), force on the right being masculine (air, fire) and the center being balance. When reading this spread we have to consider if the cards are in their elliment on the tree. For example if an air or fire card was in position 5 the opposition, this would be a really hard place to be in since they are masculine energies on the female piller. Air and fire have problems in this piller as water and earth have problems in the masculine piller. A lot of major cards eg over five in this case indicates big changes, the more of them the bigger the change. It is ment to look like the treeof life but when I perviewed it got all squashed and I don't know how to fix that so forgive me if it is a bit confusing.

I find it's a really good spread for seeing how an issue is worked and working out. A good appraisal of situations spread and also of use in regards to projects and plans.

Basicaly I just love this spread and wanted to share it with you all. :bouncysmi

OK, I'm visiting you :p

Personally, tarot is not my forte ... but, I like the Celtic Cross Spread. Maybe because I'm Celtic? Or that I find it is the easiest for simple old me to understand?

Just don't ask me to describe it because I need the book LOL

Hmmmmm, one can never spend too much time being silly ... it's what keeps us young :p

I am Scots/Irish from way back when with the Irish side being the most recent (ancestrally) although I was born in England. I moved over here only two years ago. So, yes, I am Celtic or as Celtic as one can be, I suppose, in this day and age.

The Celtic Cross is OK, as I say it's my favourite, but I also don't do a lot of tarot as it's a bit offputting having the reader (me), quite literally, read the instructions as I do it LOL

The one thing I did notice that is different in your spread then the one I have is yours has "11: Daath (Knowledge, the Future)
Probable future prospects?"

The paths of the tree that connect the cards to their neighbors are also interesting to look at and may help some reads. Good stuff.

I have a book which highlights where the major cards sit in regards to theses pathways and yes it does help in understanding the Qabalistic tree if you can understand the pathways. I'm trying to work out how to make a diagram to display here so I can show where the paths are aswell short of just writing it I just can't work out a way at the moment.

There seams to be a few people who are interested in the Qabal and it's relationship with Tarot here also. I'm so glad I'm not the only Ubber Tarot Geek, I was sooooo begining to feel that way
_wth_

What do you think about a discution on the Qabal and the Tarot, I'd be happy to here other peoples thoughts ummmm, guess I'll go ask

Glad it helped you. I know it's the first of it's type to realy make much sense to me and I've been looking at a lot of them. To be honest the bit about the ellements on the pillers didn't come from this spread it came from me and what I had found working with the spread. So all hale Tarot Geekdom it has helped someone else at last.

:hailmol:

As for the hidden position of 11 this is hardly ever put in any spreads, to be honest it's kind of the spheir knowone seams to ever mention. It's got it's dark side I guess but you really need it if you are going to get any idea as to the posible future check out the reading I did for Rian and see how it all goes together or the reading I did for Fluffmaister. I've had the best results with this spread but it's tiering :)
Lots of cards = lots of work

I like the Celtic Cross as well...it's how I learned a few years back, and now that's all I use. I've tried others, and I just don't read them as well. But I suppose that if I'm to remain flexible, I should practice other spreads...
