At the 'stead of the grove I am part of, we have a storage room. About half of it is dedicated to storing Temple items (decorations and supplies for the sabbats, excess herbs that won't fit in the bottles on our herb bookcase, candles, etc.) It has recently become my job to deall with such things for a while and I desperately wish to better organize this space. It is going to be on a very limited budget (we're all broke and the yard needs it more) so cheap suggestions would be particularly appreciated. Any you have, however, are welcome... I can usually adapt ideas to little or no budget.
I'm looking for ideas besides lots of plastic boxes/totes and just any organizing tips people have.
Things that need to be dealt with:
-paper supplies (extra tp, paper towels, tissue.)
-Sabbat feast supplies (paper plates, plastic silverware, etc)
-Tablecloths
-Decorations and props.
-candles
-herbs
-excess sand for the thurible
-three folding tables (approx 90" long)
-kid entertainment supplies (crayons/coloring books, etc)
-craft supplies (for making things at sabbets or the occasional esbat)
-extra candle holders, inc hurricane covers for some
-wine rack with esbat wines (about 36"x36"x12")
We have some shelving, enough that it is all on shelves, but it just is all shoved into a few large totes and cardboard boxes at the moment. And the tables are in the way of everything. Any ideas?
Also, there is an old armoire cabinet in the temple space proper that I'm working on organizing better (more immediate needs stuff). Currently we have a plasic stacking drawer thing inside it for the candles, but I'd love suggestions for other ways to keep a large number of taper candles sorted and easily accessible. Lots of little boxes won't work (less convinient than what we already have.)
