and I can get it off of everything except for my king size almost white fleece blanket. >.< That'll teach me to decorate in light natural colors with two dark cats. =/

I've tried washing it, and putting it on an ironing board and scraping it with those sticky things that you use on furniture to get pet hair off, and nothing seems to be helping. Not really sure what else to try...

I feel your 'pain.' My cat not only sheds white fur over all our dark clothing etc., but sheds her dark fur (what little there is seems to go a looong way... who could have thought a few black and ginger spots would produce so much fur?!) all over our white stuff... Not to mention she 'stole' my bathrobe, fuzzy blanket thingy, sweater...

Errr...that sucks. Duck tape? The only think I can think of is to use a lot of a really sticky masking tape and just pull it off all of your stuff. Bleah, I feel your pain, my parents have 5 cats, and I'm not sure how they keep cat hair off everything. :hmmmmm:

Heh, maybe I should just cover the whole place in Teflon! LOL

Before using the lint rollers, rub the item with a static cling thing you would throw in the dryer. It creates a charge, that sort of temporarily *lifts* the hair so it will stick to the roller better.

Yep do that, I have a fleece pullover and those get both dog and rat hair off of it

Being a cat owner myself I can say that I have never found a way to truely get hair out of fleece - it seems to weave itself into the very fibers of the cloth. My two cats have fleece sleeping cushions and the closest I get to pulling off all the hair is with the vacume cleaner - first I use one of those lint brushes, then I put a foot on either side of the cushion and vacume it.

I've got one black cat, and one grey & white - so between them they leave obvious hair on anything - I just live with it most of the time, but sometimes get the tape out.
If you've got a Dyson vacuum, you can get an "animal tool" (nowhere as interesting as it sounds), which is superb for getting hair off beds, sofas, chairs, clothes etc.

ivy witch , i have to dark cats and i spent the best 15 dollars of my life on a little device that is the size of a brick and it is a spongy material, i got it at PETSMART. You just rub it on anything that has cat hair on it and it gathers it all up and you can litterally pick it up and through it away, the cat hair not the sponge. The sponge lasts forever. Try to check it out.

I have a white kitty and just about everything I own is black so I have kitty fur everywhere, including blankets. I haven't found a way to get it all out, I've even had to throw a few pieces of clothing away because I couldn't get it out, but so far the thing that has worked best for me is the 3M Pet Hair Roller. I got it at PetsMart and it works great. I've tried other rollers and brushes and what have you and none have worked as good as that one.

If you put on a rubber dishwashing glove and run your hand over the area all the hair will roll together real easily. Good luck!

The rubber glove is what I was going to suggest. Good luck! I ned up getting pet hair on me from riding in a car where a dog periodically rides and having the dog visit once a week. How can one beautiful lab shed that much in ONE eventing????

Ooh, so you mean that there is hope for my navy blue area rug after all? The one that I had to put into storage because it was so covered in cat hair that it made the whole room look dirty? Oh happy day!

The only thing is that I am in Canada and I am not sure we have Petsmart here. Oh well. I should be able to find that sponge somewhere.

Thanks so much for the tips!
