Cleansing Cards

Merry Meet ,
I just purchased my first Tarot deck . Should I cleanse them and if so how do I do this? I signed up for the Joan Bunning Course and I know I have a lot to learn. I'm so excited but was looking through the book and getting scared, there is so much to learn. I may need some help down the road:confused:

There are several ways to cleanse and connect with your cards.

Sleep with them under your pillow for the first week, run each card for through the smoke of burning incense, slam the deck of cards on the table both face up and face down, or shuffle them for a couple hours while you are watching tv or doing a mundane task!

Don't worry about learning the tarot! It will all come together if you just persevere! Check out the "MW Tarot Course Thread", "Help for Newbies" and the "A Course in Tarot" threads that are "stuck" at the top of the forum! You'll be reading in no time! Another suggestion is to go to the Joan Bunning site, www.learntarot.com and write the key words on post-it notes, then stick the post-it notes on the cards themselves and use them as flash cards! You'll learn the key words in no time!

I always rub my new decks down with sea salt prior to using them. Everyone has their own way, I'm sure you'll find yours in no time! Best of luck!

I put mine under the moonlight for 3 days. There's a full moon coming up in a few days.
