Greetings.
Call me metalstar316. I am 24 y/o, I live in Roanoke VA, and have just figured out exactly what my life and death philosophy is. I guess I could be referred to as a Pagan, but I don't like to do so because of the fact that I don't believe in worshipping a God or Goddess I can't see, so I am the only God I worship. This, along with the rest of my life philosophy, is congruent with LaVeyan Satanism, but I don't refer to myself as a Satanist either because I do believe in a spiritual existance after death. However, my spiritual theories (I don't call them beliefs because to simply believe something you stop seeking knowledge and the truth, you only seek what you want to hear) are based on my experiences as a paranormal researcher and are pretty much the same belief system as the ancient Egyptians at least as far as life after death is concerned. I do think life after death is inevitable, but I also think there is nothing one can really do to prepare oneself for what may or may not happen when you're six feet under, except to live a full life and then at least you will live on in memory. So I am a Pagan in the sense that I'm not christian, (in roman times the word Pagan originally meant "backwoods" or the equivilant of "redneck", when xtianity took over it came to mean "non- christian" and thus was used as an insult) I do not worship nature or any external gods.
That's me in a nutshell. I also play guitars in a local band called Defenestration, act occassionally on stage, etc. I am on here hoping to have some intelligent disscussions with like minded individuals, and am Looking forward to it!
