Hey
Just wondering, I know their are many types of Satanists and Satanism. People who use him just as a symbol of freedom and some who actually worship him.
I was just wondering (a question for Satanists and others)... Do you consider Satanism, a denomination of Christianity?
In order to worship Satan you have to have Christian beliefs, right?
If I am wrong, please correct me, hehe.

LaVeyan Satanism is atheistisc and, therefore more of a philosophy than a religion.

It really depends on what form of Satanism you're talking about. The most common form involves worship of self, not of an external deity/semi-deity/etc... And so it's not a form of Christianity anymore than Wicca or Asatru is.
However the literal "worship Satan to irritate YHWH" form of Satan worship could be consider a twisted form of Christianity, as it is most often done to degrade and rebel against a Christian upbringing.

Satanism, theistic and atheistic, has roots in Christianity (obviously), but it is indeed a seperate belief system.

I don't know of too many people who are the "inverse Christian" type of Satanist.
Most of us can't accurately be considered "inverse Christians" or "Christian heretics" because that would require us to believe in YHWH as the supreme god and that Jesus is savior of mankind and that sort of thing, but we just choose to side with "the bad guy."

Well there are a few Satanists who hold that the Christian god is neither all powerful nor all good, but acknowledge his existence. These Satanists view the old testament god as a petty selfish son of a bitch. Satan is seen as the heroic defender of man who became a martyr by defying God during the whole story of Job. He gave up fascist paradise for a free hell. In this context these Satanists would be worshippers within a Judeo-Christian pantheon.

there are also christian satanists who believe that god is not always right. That the creation of humanity was a mistake and satan tried informing god of this

No, we don't believe ourselves to be gods.
I know there are many forms of Satanism. I was only attempting to desribe one.

you don't seem the type to be a Levayan satanist, but I'm not one to judge ones religious beliefs. I understand how you could get an atheistic view from the satanic bible, however I paid more attention to the bits about their being no power greater than the human power and that you are the most important human. Later it is stated that one should worship themselves as a God.
While I am a son of Loki, I have many beliefs that came from the satanic bible

Yes, but I think one would be hard-pressed to find a Satanist who actually follows Christian theology. I don't deny that the Christian god may exist, but I don't really pay any attention to him.

If I'm also a "SON OF LOKI" does that make me evil.? I see my self as an instigater, not really evil, but sometimes things I do make me wonder for a second- was that really cool to do? Then my short term memory loss kicks in, and I say "It wasn't me, it just looked like me?" and run as fast as I can. *huff* *huff* *whoo!!* _whistle_
