You can learn alot about a person by what pets they have. I will tell you about my zoo if you tell me about yours. :)
We have:
a newfoundland/lab mix - Chompy
a border collie/mutt mix - Gypsy
a white kitten with one green eye and one blue eye - Lizzy
a black kitty - Salem
a black n white kitty - CJ
2 hampsters (one for each kid) - Charlie and Pancake
1 oscar - Brutis
and a tank of freshwater fish.
As I mentioned before, I breed birds, so I have quite a few of those:
4 breeding pairs of cockatiels (Boris and Elvira, Casper and Wendy, Fred and Lacy, and Zoe and Cosmo)
1 breeding pair of sun conures - Bonnie and Clyde
and assorted baby birds for sale :)
Last by not least...
my special baby, my companion parrot Solstice. He is the light of my life. He is a sun conure and you can see his pictures here:

I have kitties! I have several kitties....lets leave it at that....LOL.
Isis: a dark brown and back tabby with big green eyes. She is the household mother.
Gilgamesh: A part Russian Blue. He had a brother named Enkidu but like in the myth/epic Enkidu passed on... :(
Innanna:A fluffy orange/white/black calico my uncle found in a tree near my house, assumed she was mine and stuffed her thru the window. She has a Goddess/diva attitude.
Dagda: dark brown/black tabby, large son of Isis. He's a loving brute.
Apollo: lighter brown and white tabby, big son of Isis and Dagda's littermate. He has huge golden eyes. I call him my "gentle giant".
Those are some of my fur-children.

I have 3 animals....not quite a zoo yet, as my 2nd half doesn't like slimy things...so I can't have any frogs or lizards.... anywho.....
1. Ozymandias (goes by Ozy) - A Mutt. 1/2 cockerspaniel, 1/4 pitbull, 1/4 some other spaniel
2. Morpheus (goes by Cat, or Kit-Cat, or Meow-Thing). - Black, DSH (domestic short hair).
3. The BRAND new addition... as in, he spent his first night with us last night...waking up to go outside every 2 hours. Puppies are enough worl to scare me away from having real babies for a while.... His name is Max. He's a Rottweiler cross, and he's about 7 weeks old.

Hehe Lilith, :).
I've also had several other pets growing up.
Willy - my dads hunting beagle, had to give him away when he bit me in seven places. just needed bandaids though and it was my fault any way.
Abby - my golden retriever and best friend for 18 wonderful years
Jade - a tiger cat & her sister Chloe - all black except one spot of white under her chin (unfortunately my ex kept them, :( )
Mack - my pitbull that the ex got me, unfortunately the land lord wouldn't let us keep her, but she went to a wonderful own with several other pitbulls
Bear & Germany - german shepherds, sisters, the ex sold them before I could get them back
Mattie - a white mouse
PJ - my hamster, lived three years, she was spoiled. i once pay almost $300 to get a tumor removed from her ear, I'm glad she did because she lived for a whole year after that
Jasper - my white rat, lived 3 years
Puffball - a mole that someone rescued from their cat, they gave it to me since I liked rodents
Ben, Shylar & Mrs. Frisby - my three mice (that the ex also kept)
Love & light,

don't exactly have a zoo, but sometimes it feels like it. :D
Tobias T. Kat (goes by Toby or TobyKat depending on who's calling his name)--orange tabby cat. the sweetest thing you'll ever meet, as long as you have food! LOL!
Strawberry (aka Pain in the butt #1)--greyhound/doberman mix. don't be impressed, she's the biggest chicken dog you'd ever meet.
Princess (aka Pain in the butt #2)--lab/rotwiller mix. she's just a big old attention slut. you can't do anything in this house without her jumping up on your lap or following your every move.
we used to have a golden retreiver. we had to put him down a few months back (right about when i joined MW). His name was J.D. (just dog) & was the best dog in the whole world. my son still cries when you mention his name. they were buds.

When we lived in Texas we adopted a beautiflu long hair pewter grey cat from an animal shelter that was doing adoptions at the PetsMart. Her name is Smooches and I was given a buch of paperwork for her. She is a purebred Russian Blue Persian and oh boy is she one snobbish stuck up cat. She never wanted attention from me except at 3 am when she would stomp on me and meow in her whiny meow til I would wake up and pet her. When we moved home to N.C. we stayed with a very close friend who was recovering from breast cancer. Smooches decided she loved Alison so I let Alison keep her. Now Smooches is a happy, pampered, spoiled kitty. I guess my job in the whole thing was just to get her to N.C. for Alison. :D

Owning me and my family are:
One pony, Blaney
One dog, Buffy
Okay, so not many pets at the moment, but there's been a chicken, a ferret (who turned out to be two ferrets and one got his/her head stuck in a toilet roll tube once and that is my most treasured memory of poor Furret) and a bat. We didn't buy any of these 3/4, they just came to us.

Pets?! OK, here goes:
Leela- Little short-haired stripey cat. I named her after a Dr. Who companion and likes to "talk". Queen of the Headbutts when I try to type on the pooter, but I adore her. She has a cool tan lightning bolt shaped marking on her forehead. She's very shy around people other than me or hubby. She also loves to nap underneath my altar! :D
Galadriel- Another cat and Leela's sister. She's a semi-longhair with the same coloring as Leela--and also has the *exact* same lightning bolt marking! She's beautiful and knows it , loves to flirt with her large pale green eyes. She's very easygoing, loves *everyone*& is hubby's favorite.
Kiera- She's a shorthaired black cat with a tiny white diamond marking on her chest. She's so big and solid, you'd think she was a male. She's gorgeous but she likes to beat up the other two and tries to sit on them.:bug: Her name means "little dark one" in Celtic because she was a tiny runt as a kitten--now she's 18 pounds of solid, barrel-chested cat!
And finally, I have hubby--the only pet (*grin*) who can take out the trash, do dishes, fix my computer and...er, other stuff!

"I" technically have no pets..... However I seem to be responsible for 2 dogs, (Chewy Chewingston, and Tess) and a joke of an animal that calls herself a Cat..Star.
Chewy frequently galavants off with my brother to frat parties, where upon on their return they both have the munchies.....hmmm.....;)
And as I live in the Boonies Star has taken it upon herself to hunt rather than eat that cat food that she rolls her eyes so absurdly at....Yesterday she had rabbit and squirrel....Am thinking of sending her out deer next....(Just Kidding I dont like Venison)

Currently, alas, I have no pets, unless you count dust bunnies...
I want more than anything to get a cat, but my apartment is quite small and I'm not home for long periods of time, so I think it would be mean to the cat if I brought one home. When I get a larger place I'll be thinking about it again. :)
I have kept fish, but the last one expired back in January and I haven't actually bought any more. The fishtank is currently empty (and therefor not condusive to keeping fish) and I just haven't gotten around to giving it a good clean and getting it up and running again.
Soooo, isn't that just the lamest "my pet" post ever! ;) :nyah:

I have a menagerie of cats here. It all started with a stray that showed up here about 6 years ago, and she is still here. Mama Cat an american short hair tortie. Princess a very affectionate and vivid colored tortie. Water-cat, a tan and black tabby. He gets his name because when he drinks water from any of the tubs around here, he always puts his right front leg in to the water, up to his elbow! Bear, a solid black male short hair, he is my computer buddy. Blue; an Abyssinian-Ocicat blue mix, Tabby-girl a tan and black tabby, very affectionate, Silver-girl, an Abyssinian mix mama cat. Snow-cat. a siamese white cat with brown ears, nose and tail, blue eyes that cross, extremely affectionate and very popular. Everyone who sees him wants to take him home with them. Jumper, a black kitten who is always clowning around, very affectionate. Shadow, a black american short hair, was feral until about 2 weeks ago, is becoming very friendly. Midnight a large black am. short hair male cat, weight about 13 pounds. Buttons, a siamese-type black cat with two white spots on his underside. I also have a miniature cat, Fawn, who is very tiny for her age, there are a few more but I believe this is enough.

I love this topic!
My first cat - who is still alive after 10 years - is Emily. She's a gray and white tabby cat who's the skinniest living cat I have ever seen! She eats like a horse, though, and is very shy except around people she knows well. She lives with my dad right now. We call her "Emmy," "Emma Lee," and "Swatter" for her amazing ability to kill flies and mice and anything within her proximity. I miss her...I don't see her often. :(
My other cat, Sheila (who is named that because we thought she was a boy at first and when we found out she was a girl, she was named Sheila which means "girl"), belonged to my grandmother until she passed away in May of this year. My mom and I then took her in and it's been lively in the house since. :) Sheila's a bit of an attention whore (like me) and gets attention any way she can...she's wonderful, though. We call her "Sheba," and "Shebalabala," and "She."
I have also had Mexican jumping beans...don't laugh!...those guys were great...they were: Anita, Evita, and Paco. They eventually hatched into flies. That wasn't cool.

ALRIGHT!!!!! Someone else with a bunch of cats!!!! Now I don't feel so weird having *cough* 20 cats. Although some of the males are going to a nice farm to control the rat population. I love cats. So does my hubby....hence the reason we ended up with so many. Some are strays we took in and others we've raised since they were babies. They are named for gods and goddesses with a few elven names thrown in.

One's a tabby named Garfield (even though it's a female) and the other is one of Garfield's daughters, smokey, who is entirely gray except for a little patch of white just below her neck. Smokey is kind of a recluse but Garfield is just about the friendliest and sweetest cat I've ever had or met. ^_^

Cats, of course.
I like dogs, but I work a 12-hour shift & can't take care of a dog properly. Cats are fairly self-sustaining.
The females are Miss Cleo & Sweet Little Ramona, the male (& Boss) is Bubba the Wonder Cat ('cause he ain't!)
They're my Posse.

Heh, its the second time I've answered a post like this today!
I have a hound called Gee, who is what my Mum would describe as a Heinz 57, therefore, he is a mix of everything. We know that he has some Irish Wolfhound in him, but he also has some bizarre tiger stripes as well.
We got him from a dog rescue centre, and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Considering his roots of living on the streets, you would think sometimes that he is of royal blood; and despite his Master Splinter like appearance, he can be very regal in his stance.
My Mum calls him our sentinel, but he can be the daftest dog in the world. The next minute, you would think he has lived for centuries, as he looks at you with the oldest eyes in the world.
If I had my way though (i.e. More money) I would have fishes, snakes and stick insects again (or houdini insects as they always used to escape!)

Yeah we ended up having to take Buddy to the pound because he was spraying on everything and wouldn't stop. But shortly after we found another cat, a little calico kitten and ended up keeping her and naming her Angel. We totally named her wrong though. She's hell on wheels and I think she is a spawn of satan. hehe.

I only have one dog now. His name is Cid, and I adopted him after he had been abandoned three times by students leaving college. My former landlady asked me to dog sit while she went on vacation, and he just decided he liked my house, and has been here ever since. We figured he's about 11 yrs. old and a sweeter gentleman you will not find. He sure captured my heart!

I only have one dog, but he's enough for 10 others ;) He's name's Scooby (that's right and it wasn't me who named him, it was my dad). We took him from a shelter when he was only six weeks. He's a mongrel with a poodle's whims (no offense to poodles or poodles's owners ;) ) He must be the most spoilt dog in the whole world, but I must admit he's a very intelligent beast. He's learnt such tricks that he never fails to get what he wants from us. And really jealous, especially of my computer :) Even now he climbs on my knees to get my attention off the bloody box to him :D

That sounds great! The chickens are surprising fun to have-I have bantams, so they're more ornamental than useful-but I love it when the rooster's crow in the morning. I would have goats and sheep too if I didn't rent. I'm probably pushing it now with my landlord. Luckily for me, he's pretty oblivious of most of it. He runs a trucking business and the second barn on my property is where he runs his trucks out of so he's there ALL the time so I try to just keep under the radar-keep the dogs in and quiet. It's really annoying. One of my friends has an exotic animal farm-I keep two of my horses there because she has an indoor arena. She has a camel, donkies, rheas, emus, ostriches, goats, sheep, cattle and horses. It's great!

3 cats. Azrael, Ozwald and Ash. very lovely animals & usually well behaved. Azrael and Ash, however, will not tolerate other animals (I'm not sure why this is) and Ozwald is uber-friendly... he and a wild fox sniffered each other and walked their seperate ways.

I have three guppies. Since they are innocent and cute, I have named them Carmilla Karnstein, Erzsébet Bathory, and Vlad 'Drakul' Tepes. Carmilla has an eyespot on her tail, Erzsébet is the more beautiful and fancy of the two females, and since the male is yellow and spotted I gave him the name of Vlad.
If I ever get a little tiny castle for their tank it will definitely be called Csejthe, heh heh heh.

i have one cat and three canaries. Don't havbe any pics of the birds, but here's three of my cat. He name's Lady and she's 14 years old. The one in the basin was taken at our old house when she was a few years old. Ain't she gorgeous? She's very good at hiding, cos her coat blends in with the soil outside so she can hide under a bush and not be seen. The canaries are two males and a female, names Smudge (named for the one that got away who did have a smudge on his face. This one doesn't. Go figure), Spock, and Aurora (she's the female). And they do not like to share.
bright blessings,
argent
Oh, and there's also the cat next door which we more than occasionally feed and pet and generally give affection to. He's a skinny little cat, or my cat might just be huge. I've lost all sense of proportion with cats. he's black and white. Very cute.

My family have had three budgies (two 'Smokie's, both died within 18 months, and one 'Bobby', who was given to us by our neighbor when she moved house and couldn't take him with her. He was 4/5 years old when we got him, and he died aged 10/11 years) two rabbits (Apricot and Damson, both dutch. Both now dead, Damson was put down because she had cancer)
Now have two rabbits (nederland dwarf/lionhead crossbreed) called Magic and Benji. I also have a 'pet' lioness, who I adopted last June, and I will be renewing it every year :hahugh:
