So, I had *finally* saved up enough to get my cats spayed. We had the appointment set for next week. Six beautiful girls, all getting done on the same day.

Until our ceiling collapsed in the kitchen. We've had to replace it. The cost of the dry wall and supplis took up a big chunk of the money. Now.. the stupid water heater is leaking!!! There goes the rest.

I have cancelled the appointment, and will have to start again. This is SO frustrating. I don't understand why there are SO many freakin spay/neuter programs, and NOT ONE THAT IS NEAR ME!!! There are at least 3 places within 100 miles... but you HAVE to be a resident of that county. That leaves us out.

Can I cry now?

On the plus side, I adore my newest kitty. Here's a picture of her. She's so neat! At least she is spayed. Of course, she has allergies, but I guess that's life.

Oh, that sucks. :(

At least they are all girl kitties and so won't be making any babies on you. Do you keep them inside?

:hugz: to you honey, at least you have their furry cat love :). I hope things get better for you. That must be so annoying about being so close yet so far from the right county.

Yeah, they are girls, and they are inside only. Here's my problem. EVERY day that they are in heat increases their chances for cancer, and problems. They are miserable. I hate that I can't fix this for them. The two babies haven't even started heat yet, but they are close, and the best best thing would be to fix them before they start, and now I can't.

To top it off even more... our freaking toilet broke, and we just had to go buy a new one. Now we have no money for groceries for the rest of the weekend. The *only* thing we will be eating for the next 5 days is chicken. Plain chicken. Thank the gods we at least have the chicken, or I don't know what we would do. Oh, and another plus is that I didn't have to clean that nasty toilet. LOL

I'm also hoping to get my allergic kitty onto some kind of steroids or something before long, but every time something else breaks or goes wrong, it puts it off more. She's not horribly miserable, but she sure isn't as good as she should be. And we had to buy the cruddy cat food this week, so it's only going to get worse. At least she isn't starving.

I don't need to be rich or anything, but a little slack from the universe would certainly help. I'd just like to for ONCE not be barely getting by. I'd like to be able to sock a couple hundred bucks into a savings account to have for emergencies. That's all.

Lucky for us, we'll at least be able to pay the bills again this month. The fact that we had that money for the spays is the *only* think that just saved us. But dangit, I *really* want my babies to feel better. Patches is finally clearing up now, so at least that's one less worry. He was a miserable kitty for a while there. But he's even starting to clean himself again. Yay Patches.
