Well I was baking cookies yesterday and absent mindedly grabbed the side of the hot cookie sheet. I not only burned the skin off of my fingers, I burned the shape of the pan onto my fingers. Here's Starlight's Steps in Healing a Burn. :flamer:
Step 1- Jump, scream and dance around the room for 5 minutes straight. :bug:
Step 2- Hold your singed fingers under cold water for another few minutes.
Step 3- For the 5 seconds of numbness that the cold water provides run to the bathroom and dunk your hand in a bottle of aloe vera cream. :cutie:
Trust me .................it works!
8O :wah:

I wish I had been a member here about two weeks ago. My daughter (ignoring my warning) decided to grab hold of the clothes iron and now she has a scar down the palm of the hand about 3/4 of an inch long and 1/4 inch in width. She screamed for like 20 minutes. :(

Did you try using polysporon or ozonol - not only do they stop infection but they also can help prevent scars.

Oh! Your poor daughter. Unfortunatly I know how she feels I also have a large scar on my palm from a burn. I was unaware that the oven was on so I went to take a frying pan with a metal handle out of the oven .That time I think I also screamed for 20 minutes. Man that hurt. :scream:

I dropped an iron on my hand in forth grade and didn't notice right away (killed the nerves) good news is I am 32 and the scar is almost completely faded so it may go away in time. Keep it clean though a boy broke open my scab in a fight and it infected that hurt worsse than the iron!
