If she was posting that stuff directly from work.. I could see a company firing an empolyee, weither or not that is legal to do.. HOWEVER if she had posted it OUT side the work place.. it is not fair for her to be fired because it is outside the work place.. that would be like firing anyone who came home and bitched about their jobs. :(

Apparently, according to the article, neither did the people who were fired... They didn't name their place of employment, didn't name their co-worker's names... just complained about their jobs and co-workers... and bam, they got fired... which I think is totally wrong... I'd like to know, what company policy they violated... but, then again, I've also learned the vindictiveness of bosses and they will find any little shred of a screw up and use that as the "technical" reason to fire you just because they don't like you or you're not doing what they want you to do - even though you're doing what is required - they want more... bah... I hate people like that... heck... if a company is going to be that petty... you don't need them... you can find somewhere else better to work! =)

I don't think I'd blog at work, I can do that on my own time. The part that irritates is that the same people talk about the same things at lunch or after work. If no identity is ever given, no names, the company should do the smart thing and leave it alone. The company should have to prove, without a doubt that the blog is about them.
