I am 31 years old, have been married for 11, have two children. Both are boys, one aged 9 and one aged 3 months.
I am a South African Dane, i was born in Denmark but grew up in South Africa. I consider myself as a mold of two different cultures and societies. I have all my life been labelled at strange/weird by friends and family, and there has always been a keen interest in the occult. I recieved a calling around 1995, and have since been trying to figure out what it meant. I have since realised it was a calling of the Goddess, and that I was to follow the Wicca religion. Today I have been wiccan for close to nine years, two of which have been as a member of the Correllian Wicca Tradition. Being wiccan is a lifetime thing, and everyday I learn new things, and more wonderful things...I am a Virgo and a water-ox.
Besides that I am an artist and poet. My interests lie in discovering other aspects of pagan faith, and indeed also other religious philosophies. I am also greatly intrigued by the tenets, history and philosophy of Wicca itself.
I have been drawing for the past 19 years, in which time I have learnt much about differnt techniques and types of expression. I draw mostly in pencil, pastels and fineliner, but have also done some work in aquarelles and acrylics. In the last couple of years my work has been more inspired by fantasy, celtic art and mythology, paganism... and of course Wicca. I have had no formal training, and do not hold any degree in art, the only formal learning I have had is five years in highschool where I had art as a major.
Other than that I make bookcovers and other things in fabric, I dabble in 3D art using Poser4 and Vue d'Esprit 4. I have an online gallery, and also feature on many other art sites. I write poetry in Danish, English and Afrikaans.
:headphone Music interest...hmmm yes. I can listen to most types of music, but have some definate favourites which I have to here now and then. These are:
Depeche Mode, Type O Negative, Fields of the Nephilim, Moonspell, Sirrah, Loreena McKennit, Björk, Faithless, Massive Attack, Fiona Apple, Clan of Xymox, The Pixies, The Smiths, Morrissey, Dead Can Dance, Delerium and Portishead.
That about sums me up pretty much... _whistle_
