What is everyone doing for Valentines?

I only had $2.00 on me for Valentines this year so I tried to make the most of it. I took a 5X7 cardboard box and filled it with a small bag of red and silver hershy kisses and a small bag of heart candy with sayings on them. I decorated the box taping cut out words from a magazine. I took a piece of white bristle board and coloured a " Happy valentines" sign that will be lit with Tea Lights. Im pretty happy that I was able to do something for my bf.. even if it is olnly $2. :woot:

My hubby is cooking for me. He loves to cook! Valentines Day is the day that he proposed to me 10 years ago. I love him! He's such a sweetie!

I have nothing but angst for Valentine's day .. and I don't really even acknowledge it as anything but just another day.

Eshallet and I celebrated yesterday (friday). For two reasons.

1. we figured we could break our streak of fighting on that day by celebrating it early.
2. My son was at his Dad's for the weekend

so we went to dinner at a family friend's restaurant and then came home and well...this is MW not MWAD ;)

My husband is in Afghanistan serving active duty so no romance for me this year.

I do plan to do something special for my three daughters though and we'll have a little girly Valentine's Day together so it should be fun. :)

My husband and I are staying over at a B&B on the river. Having a nice romantic dinner...They have a spa with a giant waterfall in the jacuzzi :D....It should be very nice :)

When I want to show my loved ones, that I love them. I do it when I feel like it because its from the heart. When its expected, for me, its not the same.

The only thing we celebrate thats expected are Birthdays. :)

Well, my plans are kinda pathetic compared to some here (even that 2-dllar box o' kisses!), but here they are: I will be spending the day with my parents. It's my birthday (as I've pointed out elsewhere), s0 I feel the need to share my time with them. I can't see the guy I was hoping to see - we only just connected over the internet - but he will be giving me a phone call. To me, this is infinitely better than nothing!!

Going to school, like any other day, then I'll probably get home and be sad coz I'm alone for Valentine's day... I'll probably have to study too, so that's another reason to be sad.

(And no, that's not a bad thing. I enjoy music (and honky tonks). And I do have someone to spend Valentines day with, though we're apart as far as distance goes for the time being and I'll have a helluva phone bill, it's worth it _pounce_ .)

well, my friends have no school tomorrow, but i do, so its no fun... and i stayed home once last week and was pretty late twice, so i can't miss anymore... so today we are supposed to hang out, and my best friend might be coming to school with me tomorrow... i know, its boring, but oh well... yesterday my sister and my best friend went to John's Incredible Pizza Co., and it was so much fun! It was sort of a late birthday celebration for my friend, though... i'm using the holiday to spend time with my friends and show my appreciation for them...

well, my fiancee forgot to make dinner reservations in time, and I have school anyway, so I think we'll wind up going out and doing something silly like going to the arcade we used to go to. And, I'm going to make cookies.
