How do you, if you do at all, interpret timing in spreads??

hmm thats a tricky one! This is where I have been wrong in the past but Im getting better on it :)
I generally get a feeling right from the beginning of the reading if its going to happen the next few days, that week, or a longer period of time further in the future, but it can also be down to the surrounding cards of the spread ~ if they are fast movement cards ~ like Wands ~ 8 of wands is a fast, movement card for me...
I also ask the cards ~ now, this week, next week... so I can be clear when Im picking out the cards what time they are for.
I met up with my mum over the weekend and she just met a guy who apparently came up in a reading she had three years ago ~ the reader told her she'd meet someone this year at the end of September! & I was amazed! because I did her a year spread for her borthday and I said the same thing! :sunny:

Sometimes I just think of a certain timing but it doesn't usually figure into my readings much. I would be more inclined to use some other divination/scrying/etc. tool for that such as a ouija board or pendulum.

I don't give the times that something may happen because I believe we make our own futures. The tarot is just a guide to show us where we are heading if we continue going on the path we're on now. And most readings have so many other people and factors in there, so it depends more on everyone else's free will, than when I say it will happen. I hope that made sense. lol

I try to use my intuition in regards to time mostly. But sometimes a card will give me an idea like Temperance or the Hermit will let me know it's going to be slow moving.

I try to-- sometimes the question asked helps, or the placement of the cards. But I'm always screwing it up. 8O
