Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can do to quel my nausea? I am having trouble staying focused at work because I'm back and forth to the toilet all the time, and in between bouts I'm shaky and feel wretched. Ginger tea doesn't seem to be helping, and gingerale, which helped all weekend, just added to the problem this morning.

I assume I have at least another 4 weeks of this - I can't take the whole month off work! http://www.bigbadbabynames.com/public_html/YaBBImages/Smilies/cry.gif

I had horrible morning, noon and night sickness with both my sons. The only things that sort of helped were these ginger chew things and Papaya lozenges that I got at a natural foods store, and I got some of those motion sickness bracelets and had to wear them all the time. That helped me keep from throwing up so much, but I was still kind of queasy. I won't even tell you how long my m/s lasted because you really don't want to hear it, but those things helped!

:hugz: I hope you feel better soon!

i had morning sickness really bad with my daughter.. the only things that worked for me were saltine crackers and peppermint candy.. the peppermints worked the best i found and they are easy to carry with you.. I hope it eases up for you very soon.. Blessed Be..

I second the mints, scotch mints worked wonders for me...it gets better! Also raspberry leaf tea can help, but dont drink more than a cup or two a day in the first trimester.

I know you said you were doing the ginger ale... were you drinking it flat? I found that carbinated drinks helped at first, but the gas caused havoc later in the day. I pratically lived off of flat, warm ginger ale and crackers for months.

I can't really suggest anything that hasn't already been said. However when my hubby's aunt went through this the doctor told her to buy and drink Ensure{or a simular product},because she wasn't able to keep anything down and the doctor said that this being luquid nutrition her body would be able to absorb some of it before her next trip to the bathroom. That lack of nutrients was making her very weak, shacky and light-headed all the time.I hope this helps and that you get to feeling better soon.Oh,by the way,Congratulations!

I had a friend who swore by Seabands- those things you wear on your wrists for seasickness. It works on accupressure points.

Feel better.
