Hecate AND Isis?

I've come to the conclusion that I'm supposed to have both Hecate and Isis as patrons in my life. Although they do share some common threads, I think for the most part they're kind of an odd couple.

Does anybody else have the same in their deity relationship? Thoughts? Concerns? I'd be appreciative to hear people's opinions.

I don't know much about Isis, and Hekate isn't one of the major deities in my religion, but I do know that Isis was widely worshipped outside of Egypt as well, and was popular with some Greeks, so I don't think the pairing is all that strange. Personality-wise, maybe there are lessons you need to learn from Them both? Or maybe They each see something different in you that draws you to Them.

My advice? Just go with it. :) If there's one thing I've learned, it's that we are just not capable of the levels of stubbornness a god is when S/He wants something. :lol:

In my journey so far, I've learned important lessons from both of them that have radically shaped my spirituality and the way I look at the world.

Hecate on one hand, came first; she of course, got me to acknowledge the darker aspects of human nature and the right we have to experience them. Isis, came after, probably because I got a little carried away with the darker side and needed to balance my non-judgement and acceptance of darker emotions. Well, thats the short and long of it. Anyway.

That sounds healthy though. I wouldn't be too worried. They may clash from time to time, but generally I would think that they would be able to work with you equally as you need it, you know?

i have hecate, isis and kwan yin as three that guide me. i think you have a strong wise force. ;)

Hekate has been a guiding force for me a tad bit longer than Brigit (who just recently has been nudging me) so I know what you mean...but the world is full of opposites that get along, right?
