Circle Dancing...

Have you done it? What dances do you know? Can you tell us the steps, music used, hand position, energy? What are your experiences with Circle Dancing?

Well, I have never had anybody to teach me. The only circle dance I know is the Grapevine step, but I wouldn't know how to tell you to do it. Boy, aren't I a fount of wisdom?! I thought about going to the local "Contra Dance Society" some Friday night. Occasionally, they have folklore dances.

Grapevine~
Stand in an open stance.
Right foot forward
Step your left foot over your right foot.
Step back with your right foot.
Step back and left with your left foot.

You should have made a triange with your steps,
ending in an open stance.

wat is that dance for? i never seen a dance like that or even heard of one like that. but im always willing to try.

That dance is not really a dance, but a step that can be used in a dance. It's called a grapevine, and it's used a lot in musicals.
