Im usually not one to ask for spells, I dont even have one in my BOS. But Im doing an altered book on garden magick and I am having no luck at all on finding spells that have to do with gardening or the garden. Does anyone have any or know where I can find any?

Unfortunately, I don't know any "regular" spells, but as for magickal gardening, simple visualization is very effective. For example, when I'm weeding, I imagine all my troubles being disrooted and removed from my life, just like the weeds. Then I throw them on the compost heap, wishing that solutions and improvement will come as the weeds decay.
I like to chant and sing aloud when gardening. My mother keeps moss agate in her pocket when planting - we noticed that plants are much more strong and healthy. And our garden is surrounded by a wide band of red flowers - for protection.
From time to time I bless my garden, usually at sunrise and preferably in spring and summer. Use whatever at your convenience: burning incense, drawing protective runes in the corners (I'm rune addict! :D), asking for blessing from your patrons/elements etc., burying a strand of your hair in the soil, hanging bells on the branches, scattering some seeds for birds, praying, bowing to the rising Sun or Moon... Use your imagination :)
Biodynamic calendars and books on organic gardening are also wonderful tools for the garden witch.
Yay! I can't wait for March and opening of the planting season!!! :D

altered book
What's an "altered book"? A book that has been altered to no longer be quite a book??
Or do you mean 'a book on my altar ??
My opinion is that most of gardening is inherently Magic.....
Although I did do a spell to keep the squirrels from eating the tulip bulbs--as I dug the holes and put in the bulbs and blood-meal I directed Energy fiercely into the mantra, "Just leave them ALONE, Squirrrels!". That Spring, for the first time, I had tulips!
Magic sparkles all around,
Pick it up from off the ground.

A altered book is a old hardcover book that is re-done.
Here (http://www.quietfiredesign.com/byhandalteredbookgallery.htm) is a link to a gallery of Altered Books.
But thank you both so much what you said did help me.
I did find one decent site (http://pookachild.com/in_the_garden.htm) to give anyone else who might look at this an idea maybe?

There is a book titled Earth Power, by Scott Cunningham that has a section with a long-term earth spell that is garden magick. I can quote from it if you don't have access to the book?

The site with the altered books is really really neat, and gives me a swarm of creative ideas! :reading:
*bats at troublesome swarming ideas*
I dry herbs & flowers and collect found items & junk--old books look like a perfect vehicle for 3-d collages and stuff. How fun!
The 'charms' website is nice, and cites a book I have and like 'A Crone's Book of Charms'. Although I mostly write my own for particular occasions, I like to read what other people have done.

Here is the quote form the book,
A long-term earth spell
This spell is ideal if you are a good gardener, and if you have a need that you don't mind waiting several months before it manifests.
Take a seed that is symbolically related to your need. Over a pot of soil or a special plot of land, hold the seed in your power hand and visualize your need strongly.
Speak to the seed. Tell it why you need it's help to make your need come to fruitation.
Then plant the seed, giving it loving encouragement, and water.
Tend to the seedling when it appears and be sure that the plant doesn't die due to your own neglect or carelessness. If this happens your need won't manifest. At least, not until you do another spell.
If the plant grows up healthy and happy expect your need to arrive. Once it has, take very good care of your magickal plant, for it not only represents your need, but it also is now a growing, living, thing, which you brought to life in order to fullfill a need.
You are responsible for the plant. Take care of it and it will sing to you alone all the secrets of earth magic.
A Variation:
In a plot of prepared land, sow the seeds of an appropriate plant in the form of a symbol or rune representative to your need.
Tend to the garden. When the seedlings first pop up draw a circle around the symbol in the earth with the forefinger if your power hand. Stand in quiet contemplation of the growing, living, symbol of your need. As it has sprung into existance, so too shall your need.
Hope this helps!
