Merry met,

I'm Fiaran, and I'm new to the community. Well, actually, I've been lurking around reading the forums for about a week now, and I've decided to join in, as it looks like fun. Anyways, I kinda suck at introducing myself, but here goes:

I'm 24, gay, pagan and male. I've been pagan for years now, but I was raised pentacostal christian. I currently live in Ricmond, Ky, where magick/new age shops are virtually non-existent. (fun, eh?) I don;t follow any certain trad, and consider myself eclectic.

not sure what else to say, so I'll just say Hello, ALL.:)

yeah, very interesting, considering that pentacostals tend to be very very closed minded about anything even slightly occult. althought I have lately been able to think of some parallels such as the laying on of hands/energy healing. Prayer clothes (if you know what this is)/charms/talismans.

Well they were far to fundamentalist for me in more ways than I can count. But Yes, I did take some things with me into the Spirituality of Paganism. I still tend to "pray" in tounges. And you are correct that the use of charms, talismans, and in the use of internal & external manipulation of energy for healing.
I guess what I'm saying is that looking back on it, I am glad I had those experiences and they are still part of who I am today.
