i recently got a new kit of crystals, and i have been reading with them. but every time i do, when i hold them in my hands, they feel very warm... even though they are still pretty cold when i touch them to my lips. it's not a bad feeling, but i was just wondering what it meant!! thx!!

well one of the reasons it might be is that some people are very sensitive to certain crystals and stones...sometimes i find that when i hold amber in my hand for a long period of time that my hand gets really hot, almost to the point of feeling like a sun burn...I guess some people are just more receptive to certain stones energies than others

stones are very physicsal beings, as well as the obvious metaphysical properties they exhibit.
so one of the most obvious ways for them to react to you and show you how they 'feel' is physically. as they have no mobile parts, temperature is a good demonstration. i think it likes you.

You may be energizing the crystals as well, and that would account for the feeling of warmth from them.
Which hand are you holding them in?
Your right hand will naturally give "Chi" energy.
Your left hand will naturally receive it.

Is there anything you tell people when they don't get these sensations from crystals? Some might think crystals won't work for them unless they can feel the stones energy like this.

they really seem to warm up in my left hand more than my right, and when i hold them with both, they get really hot. but that's good though!! i plan on expanding my collection!! i love them!! :)

no one's really said anything, but i think that you prolly do have to be receptive to their energies for them to work for you... otherwise, you won't know how to interpret what they're trying to tell you. :)

Its good to keep in mind that stones are either receptive or projective and you're not going to get a tingly sensation from a receptive stone. Atleast thats what I've read.

Are you left-handed or right? They should give you that feeling in your "reception hand", which is the one opposite of the hand you your to write -- the hand you write with is for sending energies.

i believe the receptive and sending they refer too, is that strange concept stones were either one or other, derriving from the limited minds of people, who by dividing the world try to control it.
but i agree with your posts about receptive and sending sides not being just left/right but rather each consultees passive and active sites. thanks for your good answer :) _handclapp :abanana: :fpartyfav

My Brother Czech,
Are you disagreeing with me!!!
I'll give you a good... :fishsmack LOL!
I was speaking directly about the practice of "Chi Energy Channeling." In this discipline you are trained for the body to "naturally" receive "Chi" through the left hand and direct it with the right. Once you are accomplished at the manipulation it can be done as you choose. Remember that this is a "Eastern" practice and that traditionally they considered the use of the left hand to be wrong. I have no such prejudice myself (I'd better not, seeing as my Wife & Son are left handed,) but was speaking from the standpoint of the traditional use of "Chi Channeling."
Clear as Mud?

I wasnt commenting on YOUR post :hairred: and i got :fishsmack anyway
no fair no fair no fair no fair :sadman:
but thanks for clarifying your post too. i agree wholeheartedly especially at the not having those limitations.
my comment on close mindedness was directed versus the concept propagated eg by Cunningham in the waste-of-paper book about gemstones (one of his crappier works, to say the elast) funnily called even "encyclopedy". there the concept is announced that stones were either receptive OR sending - and to even top it all, the division is drawn through colours: like lapis (dark blue) being RECEPTIVE [lmao] etc.
so my dear Viseaux here is the :fishsmack back atcha and i even add some :alol: for :bothsides: hehehehehe

Hmmm, I'm not familiar with the book which is not suprising as I am not the expert you are.
It does make me wonder if he came up with that concept due to the Fact that darker colors do absorb heat (energy) more readily, and lighter one reflect it.
Is his claim based on that? Does he consider all darker colored stones to be energy receivers and all lighter colored ones to be energy projectors?
That would make some sense to me from a color/heat standpoint.

hmm, i've sent and received through all kinds of stones/crystals. seems they all share those properties to me, some are better at some things hence the traits attributed to that stone. but i am a novice anyhows. chuckles.

I have to say, that i would have to get a closer the looks on the pattrerns of cunninghams. i know that all blue stones were receptive, and that i was like: "HE CASNT BE SERIOUS WHYTHEH...DIDISPEND20.00USDONTHATPOS!BOOK"
