My roomie would kill me if she found out I was doing this, but I'm going to anyway...
Her mother is a breast cancer survivor who recently has come down with more problems. She had been healthy for at least a few years. In November she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that's slowly taking over. They've been treating it like it was cancerous even though I'm not sure if they know yet. A month prior to this she lost an aunt to breast cancer, and just last weekend her grandfather died.
I feel so helpless and I care about her a lot. A person can only hear "I'm sorry for your loss" so many times before it means nothing. She's already been announcing that she doesn't think she'll live to see 30. She's understandably an emotional wreck. Every time she goes home, she knows that there's a chance her mother won't be alive the next time.
Please, keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Any healing energy or love you can send her and her family, I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated. We're all hoping for the best.
