Many moons i've been practising magic without the total concept of what the wiccan path was really all about. till recently (2yrs) I read anything i can put my grubby lil' paws on. Interputation is everything with all things, i guess my Q' is - How lightly-heavly do you all take whats taught in the "traditional" ways? Any suggested reading for adapting my path to my crazy work life??

The ceremonial magician would say: if magic isn't a constant part of your life, your every day life, then you don't practice magic at all.
Now ceremonial magic and Wicca isn't the same. Remember that the people setting down "traditional" ways, as far as those exist in Wicca, probably weren't in the same circumstances as we are in, now. Society changed a lot over the last couple of decades, enough to influence a religion as young as Wicca.
Thus, unless you adhere to a reconstructionist path, where the traditional way is the only way, I suggest you apply your path to your every day life as much as reasonably possible, and where such no longer works, change your path to fit your life.
