Attraction Oil

Worn when looking for a mate. Anoint on your forehead, below the heart and above the navel. It is said that this oil will help to give you a more magnetic personality if a few drops are added to the bath water once a week. Said to help attract good luck when anointed in your shoes.

To make your own oil, start with a good vegetable oil base, Virgin Olive oil is fine, or you can use dipropylene glycol. Into your mortar or pestle pour 2 ounces of oil, and add 2 tablespoons of your herb or mixture and crush the herb or mixture into the oil. Store your bottle of oil is a previously concecrated dark place for three days. On the fourth day check to see if the oil has absorbed the sent of the herb, mixture or flower. If the oil has a weak scent, use a peice of cheesecloth and strain the oil. Add 2 more tablespoons of your herb, mixture or flower to the oil. If necessary add a little more oilive oil to bring the first oil back to 2 ounces. Store for three more days. Repeat this process until the scent of the oil is as strong as you like. With some of the herb mixtures as given in the following recipies, the first three days will produce a strong scented oil. Some flowers and herbs have a weak scent and it is necessary to repeat the process of scenting the oil.
Traditionally, you would chant over the oil a rhyme containing the purpose for which the oil is made each evening until the oil is complete. When you chant over your oil, hold the palms of both hands over it and direct your energy to flow into the oil. When you finished making your oil, chant your rhyme over it a last time as you strain the herb, mixture, or flower from the oil.
In all of the following oil formulas, a few drops of tincture of benzoin can be added to prevent your oil from becoming rancid.

Mix equal parts of lovage herb and grated lemon peel or lemon flowers. Add two tablespoons of this mixture to two ounces of oil. A small lodestone is added to each bottle of oil made.

Thanks for posting this. Very good information. Does this come from your tradition?
