I've heard that it isn't the easiest relationship to pull off and I was wondering why specifically.

I've heard that it isn't the easiest relationship to pull off and I was wondering why specifically.
In general terms, Aries being a fire sign doesn't necessarily click with water signs - and Scorpio is a water sign. The signs don't aspect each other, either - they're 5 signs apart, so these signs have a "quincunx" nature to them - and a quincunx is a difficult aspect, where neither side sees the other one clearly.
Having said that, Aries/Scorpio is considered easier than some quincunx sign relationships because both signs are ruled by Mars.
But two signs being "incompatible" doesn't mean that if one of you has Aries Sun and the other has Scorpio Sun that it won't work - far more important are planets like Mars and Venus when looking at a relationship between two people. You need to post both sets of birth data for a fuller picture.

What do you need as part of the birth data?

What do you need as part of the birth data?
Birth data (please spell out the month - 3/4/60 means 3 April to some people, and 4 March to others!), birth time (and say whether it's morning or afternoon if you use the 12-hour clock), birth place (town, county or state, country) - and do this for both people. That's all! :)
For instance - my birth data is: 15 March 1960, 15:25 GMT, Windsor, England.

OK - well as you said, your Sun is Aries his is Scorpio, and they're both ruled by Mars - so when you fight, you'll fight! And it's not just your Suns, but you both have Venus in those signs too (yours in Aries, his in Scorpio). Now, this emphasises the Aries/Scorpio issues. Aries is impulsive and flares up quickly when pissed off, but Scorpio doesn't - Scorpio broods and seethes inside, but takes a long time to show it. That's where you have to learn to cope with each other - when he's hurt, he won't show it straight away, whereas you probably will - and the way you both handle arguments will be the key point of this relationship.
The other aspects aren't bad at all - your Moon in Virgo clicks well with his Venus in Scorpio and you can nurture each other; his sweet sensitive Pisces Moon clicks well with your Saturn and your Mercury - so you may be unusually patient with him, and he may open up to you in areas where he's very shy with others.
This isn't going to be the world's easiest relationship because you'll both be puzzled at why the other person behaves so differently in the same situation - but there's a lot you can work with too!
I've attached a "synastry" chart of the two of you - I've put his time as 16:00 as an approximation - if he was born in the afternoon, the actual time won't affect things that much, but it does mean his "rising sign" is uncertain.

I'm a Scorprio and hubby is an Aries. We've been together 10 years. It hasn't always been easy....but we're still very happy together.
I'm a Scorpio and he's the Aries. At first we had problems because I was more emotionally needy...needed reassurance of his love and such. He is very confident and doesn't. As an Aries, he also likes his independence and alone time with friends. I was more clingy and was perfectly happy with having just him. We worked it out tho and as long as he makes me feel like I'm at the top of his priority list, I'm comfortable with his need for independence.
We both tend to be a little controlling, so I had to learn to relinquish some of that control to him. Aries people don't like to feel dominated. I found that being on antidepressants actually helped me with this because I'm so much more laid back now

I'm another Aries with a Scorpio... there's lots of "passion" between us, but even though we have a good many conjunctions in our chart, I sometimes find that there's not a lot of common ground. For example, we may like to do some of the same things, but they generally aren't things we do together as a couple, such as reading, writing or artwork. I find that I'm the one who needs more space than he does, but then I have a Venus/Uranus opposition squared by Saturn too! Despite the usual interpretation of fireworks in arguments, I'd say that's mostly me... like a typically Aries, I need to vent, rant & rave for like a half an hour and then I'm all sunshine and cheer again, and he usually just cringes in the corner somewhere til it's over. I don't find that we have a lot of control issues... I mean I would never dream of telling him what he can and cannot do. But at the same time, noone is going to stop me from doing what I want to do. He can and often does give the silent treatment when something's bugging him, and getting him to open up is like pulling teeth, but at the same time I know that he's been more open to me than to anyone else which in a weird kinda way makes me feel honored. :)

Vetteman and I are Aries/Scorpio. I'm the Scorpio. We've been married 22 years, and it's been quite a ride so far. (I think I'll keep him.)
We're both the youngest children in our families, and I'm not sure that helped. :alol:

 We're both the oldest in ours! Funny thing is, his brother and my brother could have been twins... they have like the same life, even down to driving the same kind of car! :rollingla
