chakra wand w/ reiki?

i haven't posted here in quite a while. i recently received a chakra wand and am wondering if anyone here can share the way they use one w/ reiki, etc.

Do you mean a wand with a quartz on the end, and the seven chakra colors on the shaft of the wand?

Balancing the chakras is a wonderful addition to a Reiki session, and I do it often on myself and when I work on others. However, it isn't necessary, as the Universal Life Energy will balance the chakras during the hand positions. I have been utilizing chakra balancing with Reiki for 12 years, and I have learned alot about energy fields by practicing chakra balancing. So, I do recommend, at least, doing some research. For those who don't have an interest in utilizing chakra balancing, it isn't necessary to practice Reiki.

You can get some great ideas from a few book recommendations: Reiki with Gemstones, by Ursula Klinger-Omenka; Crystal Healing, by Katrina Raphaell; Crystal Enlightenment, by Katrina Raphaell.

Are you good with sensing chakra energy, intuitively? Can you see their spin or their light? Can you feel it under your hands when you pass over the chakras?

Please remember that when you start manipulating energy in someone's field, you are moving out of letting the Higher Will do the work, and you need to know what you are doing or you can make someone very uncomfortable or even sick.

When scanning Chakras, NEVER EVER scan from the bottom(root chakra) up......ALWAYS start from the crown chakra, and work in a gliding movement, down. DON'T STOP at any particular chakra during the scanning. Keep your hands moving or you will build up a "ball" of energy between your hands and the chakra that will get uncomfortable for the recipient.

When doing Reiki on the chakras, try not to place your hands directly over the chakra.....you want the energy to flow freely as the Universal Light flows into it. I always put both hands on the sides of the chakra, allowing the center to be free to flow.

Using a wand is a bit more complicated, as you need to understand spin and speed and colors. How familiar are you with the colors of chakras? How familiar are you of the symptoms of blocked chakra energy?

I would recommend that anyone attempting to do this, take it seriously, and do your homework before attempting a manipulation of someone's chakras.

thank you for your reply syrena. this is a variation of the spelling of my big sister's name. i was happy to see you replied.

i will try to answer all your questions, as i am studying the stones now after having worked with reiki, shiatsu, acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine, energy transfer, etc. I need to review the chakra system's colors/ frequencies. if you could provide a suggestion for a good online reference I would be grateful. I am able to find areas in the body of excess and df and transfer energy appropriately. I am not so familiar with seeing the chakra colors however.

this is indeed a quartz wand. the tip is quartz to a point. the base is golden quartz from the north yangtze river. The base was broken cleanly, but I bound the length in copper wire and welded the silver that holds the 7 chakra stones. here is a pic:

Do you know how long these wands have been in use? i suppose i should do a google search...

That is a beautiful wand, and it seems to have a good flow of energy. If you choose to use it, it should be very effective.

As far as using wands with Reiki, I don't know how long people have been doing that, as it really isn't part of simple Reiki sessions. As far as using wands for balancing energy fields....I would imagine that is thousands of years old.

I don't know of any online info about chakras and chakra colors. There are some excellent books, my favorite being by Bodo Baginski/Shalila Sharamon.

The two books I mentioned above by Katrina Raphaell, deal with using crystal wands during energy work. They are excellent books.
