High school really sucks... Freshmen get loaded down with so much freakin' homework! I can't stand it... I've got to write a book report, make a world cultures handbook, turn in a HUGE project, already late.... and a ton more!!!!!!! ugh....
oh, and, i'm back.....................
I just got an Albino rat, he's so awesome....

I hear ya. :) I used to get through it by just reminding myself that I had no choice. I tried to think of it as fun, which didn't always work, but sometimes it made me laugh, which put me in a better mood to do homework. :)

the outside world where you HAVE to work, robs you of more time and spirit than school ever can. I am currently in College and plan to stay until they make me graduate! :boing:

Ditto. Take your homework for one night and multiply it by about ten then have to spend all day and part of the night on it and have to do 6 months work in two weeks and you'll end up with what my preferred job is :)

work? right, i remember that, that's when i get up at 0430, belt on my pistol and drive down country for an hour to be there for 0600 then spend 10 or 11 hours bouncing around the countryside in an armored tin can, then drive an hour back home again. am i having fun yet? high school was when all i had to worry about was did a girl named "doris" like me and would my motorcycle start on the first or second jump on the kick starter.

I loved high school. Well thats not entirely true, I hated my first high school.. but then I went to an alternative high school... and it rocked. There were no "groups"... status meant nothing... there were no fights... it was wonderful. People always there to help you... the teachers actually knew our names, and got to know us as people, not just as random students. All of my teachers came to my wedding. I miss high school.. I miss that time in my life where all I had to worry about was turning in my next assignment. I wish I was 16 again. 21 isn't as fun as I thought it would be... alcohol is hella expensive.

I hated high school when I was there but it is so true that you love it when you are gone... You have no idea how stressful real life is till you get a job and your entire world DEPENDS on you busting you a**! Not just a grade resting on it but the food on your table resting on it! I would do just about anything to go back...
For those of you still in school..even if you don't believe me, love it, really...those most likely are the best days of your life!

I found that high school was FULL of pointless assingments. It was horridly boring and a waste of my time.
Students in high school now have a lot more work to do than I feel is necessary. I was there not too long ago, and I remember how much of pain in the butt it was. Not only that, but keep in mind that many students also work and are involved in sports at the same time. If you ask me, high school is a full time job in and of itself.
Sorry but, I just had to disagree with the "wait until you work in the real world" statements. High school can be just as hard for some students, and it lacks the benefit of a pay check.

I'm still in High School, just got back from 2 hours of homework :eyebrow: and a few more left to go... Sigh. They should pay us! Oh! That would be much better. I don't think humans should be made to get up at 6:00 without being paid.. I know it will probably get worse then this, but you guys have the advantage of experience on your side, while all I have is mah youth... which, by the way, I'm willing to sell/trade for something better. It hasn't done me much good...
On another hand, you have an albino rat? Living in alberta, there are laws prohibiting rats... which sucks. I love rats. I have an albino hedgehog, though!

I don't think any of us were trying to say that high school wasn't hard (cause it most certainly is)... but the way I think of it.. if I missed a couple days of school--it was maybe the difference between an A and a B... if I miss a couple days of work--it means the difference between having rent or not.
But I must agree... no one should have to wake up at 6 unless they get money for it.... and maybe not even then!! :)

I'm in Grade 12, and it's all good. Sometimes I'm bundled down with some much homework that I would like to quit school. Other times I have none at all.
