Hi All,

I'd like to find out how many people here have received healing or done healing. Also I'd like to find out your experiences and what worked for you and what didnt work at all or had a bad effect.

do vote in the poll and post a note in this thread :)

One thing I'd like to share, which I haven't mentioned yet in other threads, is my experience at the last healing circle I attended. Usually I don't want to turn over on my back for healing, even when I'm experiencing pain, because rightly or not, I tend to value emotional over physical healing. I had the misconception that healing the back side was somehow not as important as healing the front (where I imagine the chakras to be), but I know now that's completely untrue.

We tend to store stress and blockages in various parts of our body; for me, that's usually my back. I decided for once to turn over halfway through the session to receive healing for my back. It was very pleasant. One of the practitioners was rubbing my back gently and putting light pressure in certain places which made the energy seem to shoot into areas where it had been previously blocked. (That, by the way, got me immediately interested in studying massage). I didn't realise how much tension I'd been storing in my back until it started being released.

Sometimes healing can be very orgasmic. Towards the end of the session I started moaning from the pleasure of this emotional release. My back felt much better, and I felt a new sense of freedom... I felt like I could suddenly fly... and I know that in future healing circles, I will focus more on my back. It's especially important because it's harder to work on your back during self-healings.

hey moonstone_dreams,

thats a great sharing on how we tend to store our stress on parts of our body. I get chronic back pains as well... and in the past few years, its been more frequent and worse. So much so that it has actually prompted me to go to meditation and healing classes.

Well, I learned some energy healing from my meditation instructor, but you are right, its hard to heal urself especially if its at some spot on the back you cant reach properly. Also, since my back hurt so much I would rather lie down during healing rather than sitting in some meditative position, but that will mean my reach is rather limited. Also, because I have a rather tight budget, I wasnt able to get a proper chiropractor to look at it.

In the end, I visited Pete, a local ceremonial magician, who attends the same psychic/magick discussion group i go to weekly. Well, he was the only no-money option that was readily available to me since no one in particular believed he could or would do any healing. (I guess his demeanour had something to do with that rep) However, since his spells had always worked in the past, I thought, what the hey anyway, just give the man a chance.

I explained the problem to him and he said he would teach me a spell to help heal myself. Well, I was kinda hoping he would heal me himself cos I really suck at this spellcasting business, but I guess, why not, at least I can heal myself at my own leisure.

Well, he pulled out this huge leatherbound book where this magic circle with lots of symbols was drawn. He made me memorize the circle and later draw it out without looking at the book. It was tough cos I kept making mistakes. I also had to memorise this chant in a foreign language, but I think that was like impossible for me cos I could never ever remember the thing in its entirety.

Luckily I was able to draw out the circle unaided and Pete said that was enough. He simplified the chant so I only had to say one stanza in that strange foreign language and do the rest in english.

Well, after that, guess what, I had to draw out that same circle on the floor in Pete's house! Then, with all my friends watching, I lay in the middle of the circle on a rug with cushions to support my back. I said the chant and stated that I wanted healing and restoration etc etc..... Then I waited, and a minute ticked by and nothing happened. I was shifting about uncomfortably and I turned my head to ask Pete if I should be doing something else, Pete, who had relocated himself to a corner of the room said, "No".

Then it happened. I felt as though my entire back was stuck to the floor and these beings, which I later found out were my ancestors and healing guides appeared. The room got very crowded, and some of the guys who could physically see the manifestation hopped around to prevent themselves from knocking into them. They looked down at me, placed their hands on me and I felt some kind of fire burning in areas of my back that hurt. Also, this current passed through the soles of my feet causing them to curl inwards, while waves of some kinda energy washed over me.

Even though it was a rather strange experience my back was all healed and I could even move my hips and bend backwards and forwards.

I thanked Pete, who just hussled us all out of his house after it was done. At that time I didnt know that the healing done was much much more than I had asked for.

The next day, I saw my sis receiving a pair of new specially made chiropractic soles through the mail. I asked her why she was wearing them. She said: "Im becoming flat footed. Its in our genes. And its not good cos you tend to get more leg and back pains like that..."

My mouth dropped open like an "O" I kinda now realised what the two currents passing through my feet were for!

Well, despite my sis's predictions on what's gonna happen to us genetically, I remain miraculously, NOT flat footed. I have wanted to pop my sis into the healing circle, so she can be cured too, but er... she doesnt believe in this thing and doesnt know that I have psychic gifts, and it would freak her out if she ever knew. :P

So to test her reaction, I asked, "What if there was someone who COULD cure your flat footedness?"

She said: "No, that's impossible! If it were so, that person would be a bhodi and won't be human at all!"

Well, Im still living with that dilemma......:P If anyone here has an idea as to how I can tell my sis without exposing the source of the healing, I'd really really like to know.

My father taught me how to get rid of headaches.. and he placed his hand over my wrist and he held it there without touching my skin and I felt the heat... and then he "flicked" it away.... and he did this for maybe 5-8 min and my headache was gone! Thats not miracle healing but it did heal me.. I forget what thats called.. Pressure points? or something else rather.. :whatgives now I do it to my boy friend or anyone else _pounce_

Actually the chakras can be accessed just as easily from the front OR the back of the body . . .

Well...in case some people don't already know, I do herbal healing. I think it's fun and actually easy to do. I found a lot of healing spells, charms, rituals and such, but I usually stick to eco-friendly herbs. LOL! Usually, and this is for everyone, just use a little garlic in your food. It's a natural anti-oxidant and it does taste pretty good. Also, to rid yourself of headaches, and this is a personal experience, use a little lavender(sp?) oil, or...you know....extract. Just a drop on a rag or something, and then inhale the scent. It should relieve your headache within an hour. Oh make sure you inhale a little every 15 mins. or so.

Hi Tsukasa,

thanks for sharin.... asy d ya have a receipe for herbal teas or something that we can brew at home?

I only remember one thats supposed to be good for curing insomina. Take some dried mugwort and make it into a tea, but not too strong as it is a mild hallucinogenic. When drunk, you should feel good and sleepy after awhile. :)

I find that I'm rather hopeless at healing anyone or anything other than myself. I tend to heal faster that most people naturally, anyway.

Well, once, awhile back, I was stupid and cut my wrists up pretty bad. An hour or so later, I find out that my mom had scheduled a doctor's appointment for me the next day. So I wrote up a speed-healing spell for myself and cast it. The next morning, there was hardly the ghost of a mark left.

Of course, I was dead tired and after the appointment I came home and napped all afternoon, and straight through the night. Speed healing uses up way too much energy to be worth it usually.

hmmmmmmm what was that speed healing spell that you used? I mean was it a chant or did you use any crystals or herbs?

I use different methods for healing different things, depending on what needs to be healed and how my energy levels are running. The first thing I do is impower the person with the belief that they CAN be healed.(without this, the rest is pretty much useless, for me, anyway  ) I use herbs, incense, candles, essential oils, Reiki, the chakras, full body massage, singing/humming, just relaxing the person's mind & spirit, etc. I mix & match these as I see fit for the occasion. Never had any kind of formal training, but I have studied up quite a bit on some things and I just do what comes natural.

Last nite, I did a full out healing session on my 10 yr old son, who has had the flu for 2 days :sleepybed . His fever was hovering around 102-103, with no sign of improving with the OTC I was giving him. I pulled out all the stops for him :broomride . He slept peacefully for a solid hour afterward (as did I), and then he bounced out of bed, feeling so much better. Within an hour after waking up, his fever was COMPLETELY gone!! He still has the cough, but other than that, he's 100% again :abbed: . Made me wish I had done it sooner :foopsies:

(Sorry, yall, but I really love all these smilies _cloud9_ _pounce_ )

Yeah, in many cases dealing with psychic/magical/energy healing, belief seems to be central to the process.

I sometimes hear people tell me they are unable to heal themselves or their spells dont work or something. Then, when listening in on their casual conversation, I notice that they make comments like "I'll only believe magic is possible at a physical level when I see someone shooting a bolt of flame from their finger."

That kinda just tells me that somewhere deep down inside on some level of subconsciousness, the person doesnt 100% believe in the power of magical energy or spells, even if consciously the person accepts it as possible.

Yea, I'm not sure if it's sad or silly when people think that. Actually, if ya think about it, we kind of ARE shooting flames from our fingers. We're shooting energy from our hands (& our hearts :hearthear ), it's just invisible. To me, it's the same thing. Ah, well. Can't please everybody...

My Dad had a hiatal hernia and was told that he needed a major surgery to correct the problem. He was throwing up at least once a day, and it got so bad that he was hospitalized for dehydration.

I did a simple candle spell for him, and somehow he got better. They say that hiatal hernias can't heal on their own, but he hasn't had any problems since, so he cancelled his surgery.

I've received and dealt out energy healing. :)
I've met good success on my part. So far, I eliminate pains, stop muscle tension, regulate the aura, stop indigestion, and correct all sorts of physical problems. I have flushed out illnesses and have recovered damaged parts of my body with great speed. I've a natural talent for energy healing, and have had about 5 years of practice (well, a year and a half of real practice, and 4 years or so of screwing around). It's not tough to do, and anyone can learn with practice, practice, practice. :)

I've received healing to stop migraines, illness, and back problems.

I think that with experience, skill, and power, a healer can pull people out of comas, eradicate diseases and cancers, stay death, slow or stop badly bleeding wounds, etc. A woman who was once a friend of mine used energy healing over 6 months to eliminate her own brain tumor. It's wonderful what energy can do. :)

Given healing, recieved healing, and suffered through a lot of pain. Sometimes sickness or pain remains after healing as it is a teacher. As far as healing onself sometimes it is hard to get out of one's way to heal thyself due to the naturel tendency to judge and to maintain ego.

A dear friend of mine developed an extremely rare immune disorder that we thought, for over a year, was going to kill her. Several of our witchy friends held a healing circle with her before she went into the hospital for what ended up being a month-long stay involving 4 different lung surgeries. It couldn't cure her disease, but it made her feel physically better for the time being and much better emotionally about going into the hospital.

The funny thing, though, is that I think it helped those of us doing the healing a lot more than it helped her. We had hurt so much, the previous months, watching her get progressively sicker, that finally being able to do something concrete for her helped take a weight off us that, frankly, many of us didn't know we'd been carrying.

hi, im a bit of a lurker, specifically interested in healing. I have been a lifelong natural healer and empath, but only in the last 5 years have I got into Reiki, now i have Reiki 1,2 and Advanced (for those who dont know, Basically the Masters Degree without the symbols for giving attunments).
So thats the level Im at, although i dont get as much practice as i should. Ive found it interesting using both reiki and witchcraft to heal, but for me personally, i find it easier to keep the two separate- the craft method, for me, seems to involve more physical spell components, whereas reiki i feel comfortable to do when necessary (without much in the way of the preparation that is required for ritual) and i think this is probably why i feel prefer to use reiki to heal. Plus the fact that i was healing using energy and visualisation before i discovered the craft OR reiki.
i see auras, have done since i was 13. Im learning to "turn them on and off" at will. I sometimes feel like my brain has so much learning and growing up to do before it catches up to my skill, and only then will i feel comfortable to work as a healer (for a living). Reiki helped me immensely in being able to heal others without draining myself, but im still learning the commitment and discipline necessary to even contemplate becoming a Reiki practitioner.

I have healed using a multitude of different methods.
1.) A friend who had Crones I created a ritual and made a healing poppet for her, it worked very well and kept her fit and healthy for 12 months. Foolishly I gave her the poppet and though I stressed the importance of looking after it accidents happen and the poppet took a fall from a book case. 1 hour later my friend was rushed into hospital and finaly had the infected bowl area removed. This taught me two valuable lessons 1. Magic has NO intention of its own and even good intentions don't always work out as we planned them and 2. Keep the poppet safe myself. :)
2.) I have created many different herbal remadies for many people including myself and my pets.
3.) I have had achupuncter for neuro healing, it worked very well.
4.) I have given and recived spritual healing in many different ways and found I am naturaly quite good at helping people with pain relief useing my will to draw it out of them and then earthing it into another item.
5.) I am currently working on mental self healing using visulizations and a fetta to heal my dodgy kidney. So far the results have been very good :).

I know that, but I tend to imagine them in the front. :)

the chakras are accessible from front and back, but open to the front

which is why you probably assosiated them with the front

the chakra 7 crown sahasrara is outside the body above your head, and opens to the top
the root chakra # 1 muladhara opens to the bottom

I tend to find that most people that have trained in reiki, rarely use it.

I am trained in psychic surgery, which is spiritually channelled healing, which I use on myself as well as others.

My most favourite form of healing came to me through meditation. I enter a crystal cavern that is governed by the Lemurians and have,( I can only describe it as) a crystal scan of my body and ailments. As I am scanned different beams of crystal light work on different areas of my body. The Lemurians also hand me a crystal at the conclusion of my healings, that I am in need of. I constantly use this type of meditative healing on back and knee pain and have successfully used it on others.

The beauty of this type of healing is that after one session, most people are able to use it on themselves.

WOW in a perfect world we are all able to heal ourselves. I long for the day that we no longer need doctors and hospitals.

Growing up, I went to a church that didn't allow going to the doctor so my family relied heavily on alternative medicines, particularly herbs, so it is something I always automatically run to first.

Now I do Reiki, also energy distortion, brushing, touch healing, EMT, dream/astral therapy, that sort of thing. I think the most important part is the person's emotions and mindset in getting well, a' la Louise Hayes. I go to an MD too, don't want to poo-poo their contribution to the world.

I wrote about this on my web page so if anyone is interested they can look
here (http://www.candiekelty.com/writing/may2005.html) to get the rest of the story. The part I left out is how my husband was healed, since I keep spiritual themes off of my web page I didn't want to elaborate too much there.

My husband had been in the hospital for a week with an infection that started from a cut on his elbow and had spread all over his body. His doctor said that he was scheduled to have his arm amputated the next day because the Staph virus was getting into his internal organs and would kill him. I didn't get upset at all, I just knew that it wouldn't happen. I think others know what I mean when you just "know" as I've noticed others here mention it.

That night I was laying on a recliner in his room, not really asleep, not really awake, when I saw a white cloudy light drift into the room. I felt really calm, just watching it. It hovered over my husband for a while and then disappeared. The next morning my husband mumbled, "There was an angel here." He told me that the night before he saw a big white, glowing flower blooming and reblooming over him.

Needless to say, the infection started to retreat after that and he was able to go home a few days later. :) Not only did it reaffirm my faith, but it helped my atheist husband come to realize that there's more out there than what we can see. _wiz_ Oh and he still has both of his arms.

I only learned about the Lemurians last summer and not long after that I went to Panther Meadow, near Mt. Shasta, where people have seen them. Can you recommend a good book or web site on them? I saw several books, some were self-published, put together at Kinkos no doubt, but there were so many that I didn't know which one to choose.

Are you familiar with psychic surgeons who use an egg to draw the illness from a person's body? I went with a friend who visited one recently and I wasn't impressed with him. I was just wondering if it was him or do other people have success with those methods?

I agree that it will be good when we no longer need doctors and hospitals!!

yes probably your own shields werent sufficient enough, so your nose reacted to the injury of the other nose

you should ground and center yourself and work your shields now. :excuseme:

my first experiance with healing was all unintentinal, i didnt really notice it my self, it was my dad. (my dad was a corpsman in the navy and taught me alot about medical stuff way before i started highschool) while i was in highschool i started taking classes to work in the sports medicine feild. we learned on our atheletes it was great fun. one day my dad was at a football game and when i came up to get something to drink from the snak bar he said "you know how funny it is to see you down there, you have this little trail of football players following you around the feild" all i was doing was handing out water at the time. but the guys would come up to me and have me fix their tapes or get them some ice. i didnt think any thing of it really my dad thought they all had little crushes on me and thats why they wanted me to fix their booboos. i would have guys and girls come in and ask me to do the tapein or therapys for them spacificly. then one day i went to a FFA tourniment (future farmers of america i had a sheep and i was learning how to show her for the fair) well there was a wrestling tournement going on, i thought were there is a tourney there is food so i went to get something to eat with a few other girls. i walked in to the wrong side of the gym and immidatly got swarmed by the wreslers. they had medical support there but they had me redo every thing that guy did. it took at least an hour. by the time i got back to the ffa gathering my teacher was upset with me. "why were you gone for so long" "the guys wanted me to fix them" "didnt they have a trainer there to do that" "yah, but i guess they didnt like him and wanted me to redo every thing for them" "their must be something special about you then". it got so bad that the teams fought over me as to wich team i would work for as a regular thing.

as i got older i didnt work in sports medicine (i still would like to do that someday) but i would have freinds come to me all the time "tammy fix my headache" "help me go to sleep" "i need you to help my back from hurting" ect. now i work in the drug and alcohol feild and they want me to make them feel better some how.

the first time i was healed was by a raki master. i had injerued my shoulder while sleeping (haha yah i know how do you do that well ill tell you, i got a new pillow and my body didnt like it i guess, it does love it now) he healed my shoulder for me i havent had a problem with it since, he was going to teach me how to heal my self but he left shortly after that and i havent had a chance to see him since. i know eventually i will learn how to do it.

Hi gang - been lurking lately, lots of work-related stress. *oh boy* My first healing experience was also something of an accident. I was sitting in my hubby's (then boyfriend) lap, and for no reason I understood, put my hand on his heart chakra. It had been nearly destroyed by an ex, and I somehow kick-started and partially healed it. Didn't even realize I was doing it until he asked me how I was doing that. As it turned out, he's a catalyst - gifts tend to come to the surface in people who hang around him. Our daughter is a natural healer too, and incredibly powerful for 7. She's actually more in practice than I am! lol

Then there's the time I healed a co-worker... She was having bad lower back pain and I offered to help - I told her only to keep an open mind. She shrugged, said ok, and turned her back to me. I put one hand on her back, and one hand on my keyboard - seconds later she said the spot was completely pain-free, even numb.

I'm part techno-mage, so grounding into electronics is cake for me. I can send energy thru the 'net too - in an email if the person isn't online at that time. What I do, I'd consider energy healing; I know some consider it Reiki, but I've only ever had the most basic of training. My "Sight" is chiefly Touch... I can touch someone and sense black clouds of pain. I'd like to get better so I can sense other maladies besides just pure pain, but I don't know anyone in my area I trust enough to talk to, let alone train with.

I recently did some healing on a friends pet chinchilla which was really sick and malnourished. But it died a week later. At first I thought the healing hadn't worked, and was seriously considering not doing it again. That is until someone pointed out that considering how sick the poor animal was, it would probably have died much sooner if I hadn't done what I did. But, well I don't know. I have mixed feelings about healing now.

personally, i wouldnt advise trying to heal someone or something that is dieing. the amount power involved in such a feat is enough to kill yourself. even with all the shielding up you can muster one can seriously hurt themselves. why do i say this? i learned the hard way. but on a lighter note, the girl is still alive, and perfectly healthy and fortunatly i heal like you wouldnt believe so i was only down and out for a month and a half after the fact. and no, i wont give any details on what i did or what was wrong except for what the doctors told her last year. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do, you have til the end of the summer tops."

it is one of the roughest lessons for a healer, to learn that sometimes a prolonguing of life means only more suffering

sometimes, we are mislead (especially when it comes to animals) by the wishes of the surroundings

My first experience was when a friend (now my Reiki guide) was trying to help me online with a severe weather headache by showing me pressure and massage points. In doing as instructed, I inadvertently sent energy he received. Since then, in practice, I had been able to direct energy, but it was not precise. Finally, yesterday, it worked!! I had 'seen' a burst of energy eminating from myself two days ago while relaxing and figured, what the heck, I'll try to channel it and damn if it didn't go right where I wanted!!! I was shocked-I did not say I was sending or where exactly so as not to inflict anything imagined. Very cool feeling to have this small accomplishment.

Before I was spiritually erm... awakened? I had gotten in contact with this woman for a reading. She told me that I needed to meditate that I was a healer and had other abilities that I hadn't tapped into yet. One night I was meditating and decided to try healing this lump I had right under my arm next to my breast. Well I ended up falling asleep and the next morning the lump had completely disappeared and has never returned. After that I continued to do this mostly on my husband since he has an injury in his head that (he was shot in the head once) causes him severe pain during extreme weather conditions. I lay hands on him and it goes away. When I feel self doubt..which I often do...sometimes its much to difficult for me to accept that the ability is there, it doesn't flow but it always amazes me when it does.
I find that for migraines, Sandalwood oil works for me...
and it helps me sleep.

Great thread!

Stories like that are really encouraging. When you heal someone - or attempt to - it's good to get feedback. I'm so gald that this man is so much better.
