I wear a lot of Black, many people would consider myself a Punk and/or a Goth, but I am a vegitarian tree-hugger, so kind of like a hippy...I'm going to say other.

I was waiting for the poll. :D I can really only say that I'm "normal." I wear pretty fitted clothes, almost always wear heels, and I look pretty much like everyone else around. I don't think I act in any special way either.

100% other. I've been called a metal head, punk, hippy, geek, beatnik, barbarian maniac(among many other things, some not so nice). I am none of these things, though they are all parts of me. I guess I'm either chameleonic or I lack a central identity. I don't know, but I enjoy it very much.

Goth. Or at least I try to be but in a small town it is hard to be the only one. When you are the only one it is easier for people to gang up on you and treat you like dirt just for your cloths or your beliefs. Sometimes it's just better to blend in.......

For once in my life I am "normal" hehehehe But I am normal for my town, peers, and environment. Which is pretty crunchy granola. I'm a vegatarian who can't be bothered to shave my legs or wear a bra....but so does everyone else around here. However, Im not nearly as "hippy" as others say do the dreadlock/hemp/vegan/treesitting thing.

I chose Hmmm, because I hate labels. If I was to pick any one of the other choices I'd see it as limiting myself. For me to say I am one thing would be the same as saying these are all the things I am not. I don't like to be any one thing I like to be lots of things so hmmm seamed to be the only one that fitted :D

Goth would probably fit my Genre, at least more than others. I dress in all black all the time, listen to gothy music, wear lots of silver, and like almost anything gothic. I don't call myself a goth, but I can definately relate to many aspects of the subculture.

I don't know, lol. I wear jeans all the time. I never wear dresses or skirts or 'girly' clothes, and I hate stilettoes with a passion...
And I have bright red hair.
Does any of that help?
Here in England I would be considered what is called a 'mosher'. I'm not sure that has a direct translation, however!

Goth-punk-metalhead-hippie-geek mostly, but I love 80's pop and disco. I don't have any tattoos or piercings. My hair is long but I do nothing unnatural to it. I'm intellectual as well. I don't know what the hell I am. Guess it depends on the moment.

0. As in zero, the number. I see myself as how I see the number or lack of number zero. Zero, (in my eyes) is all and it is nothing. Zero, has no definate shape, form, meaning, value, etc. Yet, zero is the original. Everything started with nothing at one point in time. For example, in the past, there were no such things as the computer I am typing on right now. Someone, created the computer. And when that someone created the computer, they had nothing to go on, zero things as such had been done before. And look what that particular zero turned into now. So, what I mean by calling my label 'zero', is that I may be formless and shapeless now, but someday I will become someone, someone who does have a point for exsisting, and will become someone that will do something good in my life. I am basically in my incubation period right now. Waiting to spread my wings and fly so to speak. When people tell me I am nothing or a zero, I take it as a compliment. Because I am still forming myself, I may be taking awhile, but that is because I want to make the most out of my life. I will only live once. Sorry, enough babbling now. I will stop. :)

Goth. Or at least I try to be but in a small town it is hard to be the only one. When you are the only one it is easier for people to gang up on you and treat you like dirt just for your cloths or your beliefs. Sometimes it's just better to blend in.......
IMO its never better to blend in if it means not being true to yourself.. it doesnt matter if you are the only goth or one of many if someone wants to be small minded and give you a hard time then they'll do it no matter how many other goths there are.. all i can say is be strong be proud of who you are and bugger anyone who is too small minded and insecure with themselves to accept others for who they are..
i'm the only goth in my town.. i dont seem to have too much of a problem with ppl though.. i find i get better service because everyone wants to talk to the 'goth'..suprisingly alot of elderly ppl come up to me and tell me they love my clothes.. i've even been offered jobs because of my look and how i do my make-up..
being pregnant i couldnt fit into alot of my regular clothes so i havent been gothing it up too much lately but now that my daughter has been born, i am starting to get back into my usual clothes its great i missed my old wardrobe :) and i can dye my hair again woooohoooo

Hmmmm. Well I wear a lot of black sometimes, also a lot of jeans and shirts - nothing real baggy though. Every now and then I like to dress a little slutty. I'm a bit of a bookworm but I say dingy things too often to be considered a geek. I don't sound smart enough. I've had a couple people say I act like Phobe on friends and have a kind of hippie thing going every now and then. I get along well with jocks and seem to have a thing for goths or people who once were goths. I get comments every now and then about having a lot of black in my wardrobe but I don't think I could consider myself that - pink is a close runner up. So I am just me.

Normal ... I wear cloths that fit ... that I can afford as I loose weight ... I go to Walmart or Value Village ( 2nd hand store in my area to get them ) if I can happen to find a nice hippie shirt or sun dress to fit me I will buy it to wear in the summer ... I like to wear cotton T's with Jeans or my Capri pants... So I guess I am your Average Goddess Sized ( But Shedding slowly ) Gal that likes to be comfortable in cotton

For me, it depends on my mood...sometimes I'm metal, other times it's goth. Then the next day I'll be borderline prep, then punk/emo then a hippy. Most of the time I'm just plain boring though..t-shirt and jeans. I fit no real genre...I'm a mix of several. But to look at me, you wouldn't tell I fit in the metal/punk/emo/goth. I'm a metal/punk/emo/goth Oreo...all that on the inside and regular on the outside, though I'm not chocolate on the outside. I picked Hmmm... I am definitely a chameleon. I am the queen of blending in withy my surroundings when I want to go undetected, but I can also stand out like crazy.
My wardrobe is a mixture of:
Ann Taylor suits for visiting my conservative Christian in-laws, working as a paralegal and officer's wives club functions (blech!)
long flowy skirts and peasant tops when I feel like indulging my fluffy side
a heavy duty collection of antique Kuchi jewelry, tapestries, coin bras and black for the tribal style belly dancer I love to be as often as I can get away with it... I love the "Halloween isn't for another 8 months..." comments I get in Walmart on my way to performances
Jeans and Earth Day and Goddess t-shirts for most of the time when I'm back at school (again! wahoo! I might just get my wish to be a full time life-long college student)
Then of course there is my collection of long black dresses, heavy eyeliner and clunky jewellry for creeping out the neighbors.

I guess the closest thing on your list to me was Goth, so that's what I selected. While I do listen to Goth music and enjoy the scene I am more heavily into Industrial which is a slightly different scene if somewhat interspersed with the former. I listen to all kinds of music to be honest with you but if you're talking about where I fit in where 'community' is concerned then yeah, that about does it.

Same here. I'm called Goth more than Metalhead. About 90% of my music collection is Metal, but in my world I consider quite a bit of Metal to be 'Gothic'. If its got a dark atmosphere to me its 'Goth'.
Of course Goth isn't solely about music. Its more an interest in the dark and mysterious aspects of life.
And yes I wear lots of black and quite a bit of eyeliner. Fishnet shirts, spiked bracelets, androgynous stuff, etc. Yep thats me! :bouncysmi :apumpkin: :vamp:

My clothes and ideals are both pretty varied. I can go from 40's Glam Queen to Goth Chick w/o so much as a blip. I'm very Celtic-Irish, but also have gypsy roots. It just depends upon what I want to look like on a particular day.
I will admit "normal" doesn't cut it though.
Wildly "eccentric" maybe, LOL
I've been called weird, spooky, ditzy, idealistic take your pick....
"Other" about does it, I guess....
I'm not much into labels or being stuck in one style though.
I'm a lot more "Sybil" than soccer mom....
The faces all merge, they're ALL me really....

I answered hmmm... because, now that I am older(not old) I haven't really had a genre.. mostly all of my old styles and ideas rolled in to one. When I was in school, I was a nerd.. not into fashion or trendy stuff.. In my twenties, I loved to wear black, and sometimes strange outfits.. Now I guess I wear whats comfortable.. If I were younger and could get away with it, I would probably dress goth.. I like the goth style and music.. but that would tie me down if you really think about it.. _inabox_ I am into a little bit of everything.. hippy, nerd, gaming geek, goth, freak, lol

I put hmmm.. I don't know what to put myself in and don't really mind. I guess I'd most likely fit in normal if I'd have to pick. Whatever normal may mean.
