For those of you who follow Egptian deitys, try the series of books written by Chritian Jacq, about the life of Ramses the great. The first one is called Ramses The Son of the Light, and is about his childhood and early years as pharoah.

Ramses The Temple of a Million Years
Ramses The Battle of Kadesh
Ramses The Lady of Abu Simbel
Ramses Under the Western Acacia.

These are the rest in order, they follow his life as a pharoah. and while it is a mixture of truth and fiction, the stories cover the daily rituals and magic that the egyptians believed in. They give a facinating insite into what egyptian life was like at the time of the pharaohs. It is suprising how close their beliefs follow our own, they had protective talismans for their children and firmly believed in the gods and goddesses to help them through their daily life and problems. I enjoyed reading the first 4 books and am now on the last one which ends with the death of the great pharoah. I would recomend these to anyone, especially if you follow egyptian dietys or are eclectic.
