My younger girl is 14, and if I had a dime for every time she drops a boy's name in conversation! My best advice is to get yourself some earplugs!

My daughter (who is 7) came home from school and announced that the boy she likes Joseph wouldn't talk to her when she said hi. I told her, maybe he didn't hear you. She tells me. "No, Mommy. I wasn't wearing piggy tails. Joseph likes me in piggy tails. I have to wear them on Monday." I thought I had a few more years before this all began. :T
I wonder if this little punk got his "tell my woman what to wear" attitude at home. grrr... :flamer:
Don't even get me started! I'm not even going to say anything because it wouldn't be appropriate for your daughter to hear anyhow! I hope you educated her! :geez: This blows my mind...and tells me I need to keep an extra ear open when my kids talk about things that go on in school!

I met my first girlfriend when I was 7. We'd sit together on a tree-stump in the playground and share the crisps in our lunchboxes. :D
It was so much less complicated than all subsequent relationships, *sigh*

oh my... i'm glad my boys arent interested in girls just yet.. wont be long i'm sure.. they had better not be the kind of boys whp tell their girls what to wear and how to do their hair etc if they do i'll whoop their butts.. my cousins bf tells her how to do her hair and what to wear.. needless to say no one is impressed and he probably wont last too long in our family with that sort of attitude
:hugz: good luck.. hopefully your daughter wont get too boy crazy until shes older

I remember being in JK and during nap time a boy kept grabbing his blanket and laying down beside me.. I must have been 4 ... I picked up my blanket and moved across the room...

Oh yes, she got the "doing stuff like that for men is part of a bass ackwards mentality" speech. When she goes to school Monday (without pigtails) she has been instructed to tell him to check his attitude at the door.
:woot:
Now that's how you stop a self-esteem issue before it starts :D
