Hey! Anyone have any ideas on fitting some witchy decor (namely - altar) into an Asian styled room? Cherry red walls, black trim, wood floors, import furniture :) Just looking to see if anyone has any nice ideas!

By going with an asian themed table/cabinet for the altar and keeping the tools simple/clean lined... quality still also helps. For example, a simple well polished brass bowl w/sand for a thurible/incense holder. A nice altar cloth in a quality fabric.... but solid color with the texture of importace. That sort of thing.

Hai, Sudeni Shirimashita. Nihon no Shinto Shukyo ni Tokonoma no Jinja wa Luigi no Wicca Paganistic Altar. Watashi no Ima Shitsu no naka ni Watshi no Tokonoma no Jinja wa Arimasu.
A Tokonoma Jinja Shrine is very similar in most repects to the typical Wicca Paganistic Altar. The are usually placed in the Living Room nearby a place of Honour when a Guest or the Master of the Household usually likes to sit.
I have a small Byobu Screen on my Tokonoma and pinned to the front of it is a Commemorative Banner dedicated to the Ancient 17th Century Shogun Yoshimune. Yoshimune was famed for being the Shogun who got Japan's Administrations Reoganized. He had the entire Country Inventoried, and had a form of Dooms Day Book (which was what William the Conqueror wrote) written.
Basically, in order to make a Japanese Style Shrine, all you have to do is follow the same sort of Blessings and Consecrations as you would use to make a Wicca Paganistic Altar, except all you have to do is decorate it with some Japanese Style Ornaments, which is too simple.
Of course, nowadays, most of Japanese Style Furniture is very similar to Western Style Furniture. But if you wanna give your room a Japanese style look, then get an authentic Japanese Style Floor Covering called a "Tatami Reed Mat".
