Would you be so very kind as to shed your light on my chart.... 4/15/1944. 6:45am... Detroit, Michigan...USA. I am far sighted and sometimes miss the self. And I have lived so many lifetimes this one life..now...What do think about that concept??? I certainly agree with the way you parse out meaning independantly of packages. I do this myself. What could I do for you in return... tarot.. stones or I could look at your chart and mayhap contribute a heretofore unseen truth... What do you think of relocation charts>>>> Rosewoodsea
Wow - well you have a Grand Cross and a Kite too, Rosewoodsea! And this is a pretty unconventional chart, too - I've included some asteroids in here as well, because each of the "big four" really do seem to be playing the role of "assistant" to one of your personal planets :)
I say "unconventional" for several reasons. Firstly, you're Aries rising - this is the fastest rising sign in the northern hemisphere, so as a result Aries rising is the rarest Ascendant (similarly, in places like Australia, Libra rising is rare). Secondly, you have lots of personal planets in fall or detriment: Venus in detriment, Moon in detriment, Mars in fall. Now, in medieval astrology this was considered a "bad thing", but it isn't in modern astrology. Bernadette Brady sums this up brilliantly - "medieval astrology is very right-wing", she says. "It likes the status quo. Now - imagine you're living in a small village in medieval times, and you're selling your goods at the market. You are the only person in the village with your religion, or your skin colour. How would you do?". This is how she likens planets in fall or detriment - "different". In medieval times, being different would mean you getting burned at the stake; today, though, we are allowed to be different.
Now take a look at those "different" planets. The most obvious one is that Moon at the top of the chart - all your other planets are in the bottom half of the chart (OK, Venus has just about snuck her head over the horizon), with the Moon acting as the "handle of the bucket". So that's a pretty strong Moon, with a lot of weight to carry!
Of course, the Moon represents the mother as well as your emotions, so that Moon in Capricron "carrying all the weight" suggests that your mother was prominent in your life, busy and hardworking too; that's probably just basic history rather than astrology - you were born during wartime, when things were restricted and women were taking on a lot of extra work.
So, like the chart for Skonsa, you have a Grand Cross and a Grand Trine with a planet in common - in this case, your Moon. Let's look at the Grand Cross:
Moon opposite Mars; Mars is in Cancer, so "fighting on the home front" would be an apt wartime interpretation for this. The Moon and Mars may both be "debilitated" (Moon in detriment, Mars in fall), but they have a "mutual reception" between them - Mars wants to be where the Moon is (he'd be exalted in Capricorn), and the Moon wants to be where Mars is (she rules Cancer). So actually, this Mars/Moon opposition isn't fighting - it's working well, and working hard. But it's probably a bit of a "no-fun zone". The importance of getting by, of home and family, of working hard - drilled in so hard there's no room for extravagance. This isn't to say it's a cold family - the Mars is softened in Cancer, and helped by his beautiful nurturing assistant Miss Ceres, who takes care of you and makes sure there's food on the table.
The other arm of the Grand Cross is that Venus/Neptune opposition (just like Skonsa's, and a 12th house Venus too) - with Venus sitting next to Mrs. Juno, the goddess of marriage and relationships.
So again, the Venus/Neptune is the desire for romantic relationships, although the Venus in Aries is going to be independent, unconventional and a bit feisty - well, with Ascendant, Sun, Venus and Juno in Aries, let's amend that to "a *lot* feisty" shall we? And this desire for independence rather conflicts with the "sit down, shut up, work hard, help the family" message of that Moon/Mars - perhaps a sense that every time you step out by yourself to find your own way, you're made to feel guilty for abandoning the family.
Again, the way out is via that Grand Trine involving Mercury, ably assisted by his mentor Pallas Athene who insists you can be independent and that you can have a career or just generally be assertive; and Chiron with Black Moon Lilith on the other side of the trine. Now, this is talking about big, serious issues - we have an Earth Grand Trine, and a Cardinal Grand Cross. Chiron and Black Moon Lilith talk of big healing issues that need to be addressed, and the suggestion of suppressed anger, or the need to right a great wrong. Now add to that chart the sextile from Sun to Saturn (in Gemini), the closeness of Saturn to Vesta (committment to a cause) and Pluto on the nodal axis - there's a very strong Saturn/Capricorn flavour to this chart, and the suggestion of working on very deep issues with people. This is the chart of a therapist or counsellor - whether or not you do it professionally.

Thanks Rosewood Sea!
I've been very lucky this lifetime. My health, apart from very early in life, has been good, and a great career that has suited me perfectly. In 1996, I felt as though things were falling to bits - a relationship finished, my business looked like it was going to collapse, my house was no longer secure and my mother died. But actually, the events of 1996 were a gateway to a new world for me. The following year, I pretty much had a breakdown. When I came out the other side, instead of being a workaholic (at a job I loved, admittedly), I realised there was a whole new Universe out there. I developed an interest in the qabalah, tarot, spirituality, walking, cycling, communing with the Earth, meditation, visualisation, art, appreciating my own company, and taking astrology to a whole new level.
For twenty years I've pretty much been where I want to be in my life in terms of location and career - I have the perfect job (I spend a couple of days a week working on computer systems for hospitals - I enjoy this, I'm good at it, I work from home, and I'm my own boss - I work with three other colleagues and we run the business jointly, and they're all into spiritual things as well as the "day job", too), it pays well and it isn't stressful. I live in the perfect house - it's just the right size for me, it's in a friendly vibrant neighbourhood, it's close to the city centre (a five minute cycle ride or ten minute walk) but also close to the countryside in a city that I adore. The only thing that used to be missing was a good "cafe society" locally - I had to walk to town for that - but that changed a few years ago when a theatre opened locally and the whole area has now become very studenty, very vibrant and lots of alternative venues, cafes and so on abound.
My astrology is also taking off in a big way - I've been invited to give a series of talks on medieval astrology at a major event in a big castle this summer, I teach astrology locally, I've helped set up a local group, I'm giving far more talks across the country and I really feel this aspect is being consolidated now.
So for home, work and service - I really do feel I'm living my dream. For many years, there was a big hole in the dream from my perspective, which was a distinct lack of Mr. Right to share it with - and since 1998 I've actually been happy being single!
I do share my life with a lovely cat, Columbus. My previous companion, Biko, died peacefully just over two years ago, and I grieved for a few months. Then, when the time was right, Columbus appeared. Literally. I came home one day, and he was curled up on the sofa! He'd let himself in through the catflap. I eventually tracked down the person he was living with, and she'd looked after him well but worked such long hours she never had time to spend with him - then she went out with someone who was allergic to cats, and was at her wits' end. I asked if she wanted Columbus to stay with me permanently, and she was delighted; as was I, and as was Columbus :)
So what's missing? I honestly don't know that anything *is* missing - I really am very, very content with what I have. I've always visualised what I really want, and I've always been fortunate enough that it's manifested with the exception of "the perfect boyfriend". And now I'm content not having the perfect boyfriend :)
So I'm not complaining - not even about this fuzzy Neptune/Mars transit, just intrigued what the lessons of the transit are. I think it may be about letting go of ambitions and seeing how things flow.

Would you be so kind as to post a thumbnail of your chart for me for my convienience?????? :crystalba
Truly, you are probably most correct.... your "flow" or Neptunian unconscious...holds your key. Rationally, you are self-realized. And yet....foot stuff is an allert/alarm demanding awareness upon issues of right "under-standing"... all leg/foot stuff is loosely but strongly related to "path" issues. I've spent some time intellectualy over-running my goals only to be pulled up short by foot, knee, and leg issues. Sigh. :hairred: Humbly, I must admit that each time my grand mind had "overlooked" rather than "understood" some rather elemental necessaries. Somewhere you may be getting what you think is cool to do/be rather than what YOUR spirit/soul calls for? <?? >> I'd like to check out the nodes....... Of course you may be about to deepen many areas of your life....and so it seems from your communication above!!!!!!!!.... thanks for sharing~!!!!~ Blessings upon your every enterprise~!!!~ ah, and by the way, Who/What/How is God to you? "Under-standing" - yes, I like that!! OK, well the flu is pretty much over, but here's what I learned from this spell of illness. Even though I'm symptom-free now, I feel a bit like a popped balloon - I'm never any good at sitting around doing *nothing*, but that's exactly what I've had to do. And it felt like being a child again. When I was a kid I never had any appetite at all (whether I was ill or healthy), when I was ill I would only drink Heinz cream of tomato soup, something I haven't had for over thirty years. This time, I just sat downstairs watching light and easy films on TV, sat under a duvet and the only thing I could eat was tomato soup! It brought back soooo many recollections of being a child again (I was always ill with colds as a kid), and realised how lucky I was that this is really the first time in thirty years that I've been ill. Even though I'm not running a temperature any more, I'm enjoying the sheer cosiness of sitting under a duvet and doing nothing!
ah, and by the way, Who/What/How is God to you? Rosewoodsea
From my perpsective, God is the Universe, and we're all part of that Universe; although I find the "Conversations with God" books a bit schmaltzy for me, it does sum up my outlook - and Walsh's latest book "Tomorrow's God" really sums it up for me.
Oh as a treat, just for you....have you been here~?

Do you have Google~?~ I suppose any engine will do. Search for Astronomy Picture of the Day, scan options till you see one with NASA in the address...go there and after enjoying the day's photo, click Archives :hearteyes Way Cool and Soooo Sweet this Universe~ Pictures are amazingly joyous here~!!!!~ Years worth...of great photos Thanks for posting of your chart... I'll take a look. I am most pleased to hear you are feeling better~~~!!!! Coincidentally, I was a child who ate cream of tomato soup when ill, with a bit of butter melted on top and a little too much salt. It was the only time I ever ate that soup. As an adult I have sometimes found myself seeking its solace when feeling defeated or deeply discouraged. It must have curative and cheering qualities~!~ Be Well. Rosewoodsea

I am not the technician that you are.....especially this late in the day/week. Howsomever, :steppy: according to the N. Node, indeed you could well be happy earning a living rendering service~Virgo's service and health necessities~ to a healing institution, i.e. hospital... and with all that Aquarius, including the Mars in Aq in Vir's sixth house,computers/hospital...keeps this imperative well fulfilled.
With all that Aq, how could you NOT study astrology and computers....and serve the world family. And we know that Aqs love/serve with their intellect/air modality .... With your Venus and Mars both in Aq I am reminded of the song..."Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind"....as to how it might feel to some more emotional/feeling types to attempt to experience that you do indeed love them.
You may feel/be experienced by some others as a bit ephemeral distant or aloof. The *Way Through* is with OTHER AIR SIGNS. They say, of course, it is easier for Aqs to love "ALL of Humankind" than to love a single individual, well~!!~
Libra moon is pretty airy, too...even with Libra's need for partner-ing...which this moon insubstantiates. 7th House/partners has your S.Node ...past Karma to rectify...for you to NOW fullfill... Your Pisces/Neptune stellum dovetails back into sixth house with a PiscesMercury telling you it must NOW be for YOU to HEAL your Aq Venus/Chiron South Node with intuitive/feeling modalities while communicating with others. Using your intellect as a firm foundation...for the intelligent heart and the intuitive mind. Tis rather a "once more with feeling" dispensation. You are at the "Physician, heal thyself" level of competance...(good company there...Jesus/Buddah/Avatars) And to do so with feeling/warmth/loving-kindness. Yeppers...Loving-kindness is your Way Through many trials and snares.
Can you work on Chi Quong type energy projections, perhaps.....so that others may more "feel" your being....when necessary. Also, the Leo playfullness and love elements come into "play" here and the 5th house full of Capricorn... Power-With rather than Power-Over are your Keys to a vital rewarding life... Plus a healthfull sensuality~!~ And Loving-kindness rather that caveat/dictum.
You are to demonstrate as example. Mere talk be cheap, here... and will cause you horror and pain. Only doing does it~!~ Of course, with Uranus in 12th and Mars in Aq in 6th plus Pisces Stellum / Sun and Point of Fortune in 8th house... You must Transcend and Transform rather than rule or punish or kill or diminish/discount... and part of your transformative is to project a palpable warmth/love as you teach/share the esoteric mysteries... This is quite off the top of my head....but heart felt. You may deepen into chi healing.... Or grow stronger with your existing energy/'healing' abillities.
" Later, dear Fluff~!!~" and Thank You, Sincerely, for your open-handed open-minded generousity...which is also, one of your greatest healing modes..... It is a Great Pleasure to have "met you on the Path" Rosewoodsea

I was particularly interested you mentioned working with Chi - I did T'ai Chi for a while, and got a lot out of it (so *why* did I stop doing it??) and recently a friend of mine sent me lots of information about Chi Qung which she's very excited about.
You've given me a lot of food for thought - thank you :)

:hmmmmm: I was not as clear as I would have wished to be... It is truly important that we consider the traditional diffences twixt Tai Chi and Chi Kung/Quong. As I was taught... and I was taught by a warrior monk because as he said... I was "GOOD" and "had powers". Tai Chi is a discipline to modulate our personal inner energies.... toward instant peace/well being when needed!!! And on a body wisdom level Tai Chi, peacefull energy, teaches the body all movements necessary to preserve our physical well being/body's-life. In any given instant the body will use Tai Chi to preserve/defend life beyond our conscious mental "knowing". It can be used to refill/refresh our bodily energy/vitality and has The Eight Pieces of Brocade for Longevety.
A Powerful tool.
Chi Kung/Quong uses... literally handles/applies the energy free-flowing within and surrounding Universe to accomplish some purpose... healing... touching... communicating in extremity.. to move... etc. etc. Here our personal ability with Chi/Energy is only as Powerful as our inner outer being in Harmony/Congruence with the integrity of Nature and Universe....indeed performing the movements entrains this for us/within us. So... there are pre-requisites~!!!!~ Chi Kung works with the Cosmic Glue...REALLY. And the laws governing Chi Kung are those which see Universe as the approximate size of the palm of great mystery's hand. Original Reiki seemed to have this truth as its premise.
I do reccomend the Chi Kung/Quong for you...to use with those you love. :steppy: Go be as enthusiastic as your friend with her/them. :chattin: Rosewoodsea

"It is Rosewoodsea here again." _catroll_ It is most important that you understand the substantial differences twixt Tai Chi and Chi Kung/ Quong. As I have been taught, for what it is worth, and I was taught by a monk of very great being and skills, Tai Chi modulates our personal inner energy unto peace and flow and acceptance and is an ultimate fighting style in that it *thru gentleness* instills all movements necessary for lIfe saving self defense...but once having the tools/knowlege of movements... the unconscious body wisdom will defend/even kill on our behalf beyond our ability to think so. THIS THING GOT LOST AND FOUND AGAIN...SEE ABOVE~!~

Wow! I'd never realised the difference - in T'ai Chi, our teacher also did a few basic Chi Qung exercises, so I assumed it was all the same concept. But the differences you've described sound pretty fundamental! I think I need to go to a Chi Qung group specifically by the sounds of it.
Thank you, Rosewood Sea. At the moment my problem is having enough energy to engage with the world sufficiently to go along to a Chi Qung class - I will endeavour to do this, though.

Your Neptune in Scorpio in 3rd house would let you be really effective with ChiKung and Uranus in 12th could use the adjunct.
Energy is/has been a problem for so many of us "sensitives" these past few years. :needcoffe Have you done any research on the H.A.R.R.P. project. There is a book entitled Angels Don't Play This Haarp. by a Nick Begitch ((sp) sorry I spell like Owl in Winnie the Poo). I would be interested in your opinion. It is Highfrequency Active Auroal Research Program.. It was this information that led me to begin my research with the possible pro-active effectiveness of Stones and Crystals... Malachite/Azurite seemed to work for awhile...but now????? Check out the book and the web sites around this thing...there are a few.... I'd like your opinion. _witchball :hmmmmm:
