Wunjo means joy and perfection! :D
This rune symbolises the perfect, good side of Odin!

You can use this as a sigil in magick and healing to strive towards perfection, or to summon or release ~ joy, happiness and unlimited love for everyone around us ~ the world.

When you have been through hardships then you can only know true happiness and really learn and go forward from these experiences.
Wunjo is a lesson as well as a reward!

Its stands for success, joy, energy, contentment, working toward a goal, achieving that goal, new clarity and outlook on life aswell as love.

And would be the World card in tarot.

Wynja, Wunju, "Glädjerunan" in swedish (= Rune of happiness or joy)

Stands for: happiness, peace, joy, love. Represents the kind of happiness you can find with children, the unsurpressed happiness, the happiness that has no bounderies, happiness over little things in our everyday life. Wynja asks us to live for now, and enjoy what life is giving us. This rune also holds lots of creative energy and helps with positive thinking.

Reversed: It might stand for having lost the ability to feel happy. Laugh more! Have more fun!

Wear this rune: When you feel you need more joy and happiness in your life! :)

Tarot correspondance: well, I agree with Silver Venus here, although I have heard that it is also associated with the empress.

Blessings

The word wunjo means "wish". If our wishes are fulfilled, then we are happy & joyful. This Rune is associated with what I call 'wishcraft', that is, manifesting one's wishes & desires into reality. In a reading, this means not only a "happy ending", so to speak, but that the Seeker has the ability to create their own happiness, to make their wishes come true. Wunjo is the opposite of the Rune Nauthiz (Naidh, Need), which is wishes unfulfilled.

Wunjo is such a powerful force of positive energy, reversed only diminishes or reduces the level of happiness a little bit (satisfied as opposed to giddy, for example). It is associated with the Maypole, & the May Day celebrations (Beltane). The shape of the sigil is of a pennant or banner carried in celebration or victory. It is an Odin Rune, & corresponds to the elements Air & Earth.

Wunjo has also a connection to the 3. rune Thurisaz. While Thurisaz is rather your subconsciously and passive energy or will to put your wish into action, Wunjo is the strength, the force or the ability that makes you able to transform your (secret) wishes into reality. Wunjo combined with Raido can be very useful in a ritual to
a) gain energy to make your wishes come true
b) transform your passive source of energy (represented by Thurisaz) into the strength to take action
c) learn something about your REAL wishes (what do I really want?)

Oh yeah, Wunjo's associated with Samhain anyway (together with Hagalaz and Nauthiz), as I was told.

In the pagan wheel of the year, Wunjo corresponds to Samhain along with Hagalaz and Nauthiz. Samhain is the time when the veil between the worlds between life and death thins, which opens communication between the two realms. Wunjo represents Odhinn in his shaman aspect as he consults the dead by raising the volva (wise woman, sorceress). Hagalaz represents the volva and Nauthiz represents Odhinn's state of dire need as he sets out to find the interpretation of Baldur's dream.
