my cat ran away.....again

Last January I got a two month old Persian. Well, about a month later, she disappeared for a week. Miraculously, she came back. Since then she has disappeared about 5 or 6 times. I don't know how she is getting out. We are always careful to keep the door shut and watch for her when we go out. And I have watched her at times when I had the door open, and she made no attempt to escape. I honestly wonder if I don't have a hole in my house somewhere!! I don't know why she leaves - we treat her like a queen, and she is fixed. I don't get it. Is she just not happy here?

In the past she has stayed gone for a week or two max, and then come back. But, this time she has been gone almost three weeks. I've just about given up on her. And maybe I should just let her be if she is not happy here? I'm perplexed....I've had cats before, but I've never had one like this. _catroll_

Some are like that...as long as she comes back, maybe she just needs to "gad about town". I know it's considered unsafe, but she came back last time, maybe she will this time...I'm hopin' for you anyway!

My cat ran away for good as soon as we moved here (2 years ago), and I think something happened to him--either the coyotes at night, he was picked up and kept, or ran over. I miss him still.
