your ALTAR is one of the most personal places you can have
it should be a place that you relate to....dont worry too much about details, it should have a style of its own
something your spirit can relate to

hope that helps

I put together an altar the day before Mabon. I have some fall leaf garlands all looped around; a beautiful card I gave my husband (i had to reclaim it for the altar!) of "Woman of the Sidhe"..."dark branches festooned with garlands of leaves are traced with the autumn shades of gold and burnt umber. Tangled roots and stinging nettles, heavily scented by decaying leaves, guard the sleeping infant seeds of Spring."
Also, candles of red, yellow and orange...purple beauty-berry sprigs from my plant...a green man planter... little seedpods and acorns...

This is my first one. I had a lot of fun finding things and putting them together.

Have fun!

Yep....your altar is about your personal style.
Now my altar is completely different. I did a fall overhaul. But for the purposes of this thread....here's my summer altar.

I love your dragon, Shy-- is he made of wax? My mom has this elaborate red dragon candle.

Oops, a little OT, I guess.

Beautiful altar! :D

I'm not really sure what he's made out of. I took him to my friend's mother who is an antiques dealer, and she said it was some sort of potery thing that I didn't understand. Someone else said "no way, that's porceline". Anyhow, it's hollow, and when I tap it it sort of makes a metal-y sound. I have no idea.
He's not too heavy but carries an atitude, you gotta watch him (name is Wharf). And, yes, he cost me a pretty penny. He's hand made, one of a kind, and very detailed, though I couldn't picture that.
Hi necklace is made of mostly those clear crystals...you know...lol and amethysts. They are real.
I dropped $120 for him. Oy. My wallet hurts.
