How do you communicate with your spirits?

Just about everyone has a spirit in their home at one time or another and lots of people work and communicate with them. This questiion is for you. If you communicate with your spirit guide or the random spirits in your home, in what ways do you mainly do so?

We just talk outloud to them when we feel they are around. We have used an ouija board but not often and a candle flame some. I want to get more into using tarot cards with them. Our newest came to my husband the other night but I'll post about him in his own thread if he gives me the ok and doesn't mind me telling people about him.

I just seem to hear them in my mind at times. I sometimes can communicate to them with my mind as well.

Usually I get a 'feel' that something is communicating with me, and I go on the emotions I get. I have at times, felt actual breezes at my back in order to get me to turn around to see something that the spirit wants me to fix (it is usually an item that is out of place).

I have never really felt a need to seek any of them out for anything, with the exception of Hallows when we have a more elaborate ritual in their honor. The rest of the time, I let them come to me. If I have a curiosity as to who, or what something is, I will usually just quiet myself and 'feel' around. I have also been known to communicate with them in my dreams.

I can talk with them and hear them in my mind -though sometimes we talk out loud to them just because we are alone, but I am trying to stop myself doing that as once i talked to spirit in front of someone who dosn't believe in that kind of thing....so its easier to talk in the mind. Though I can see them as well and sometimes I have laughed at things they are doing....then had to try and explain to people why I am laughing

My house is too protected and new for beings to come to it without being called. I mean come on, there's guardians in my cats, in my stuffed animals, in my magickal items . . . poor ghost ever came here at night they'd be sorry!

When I used to communicate with my ghosts, I would either 'think' to them, or I would just talk aloud. I didn't talk to him too much, but he did like to play tricks or scare my friends. ^_^

I just talk to them, and treat them as if they are still here in the physical realm. I know they can hear me.
Also, I feel someone touch me on my head, my knees, my elbows, and my shoulders.
It is never threatening, but warm and loving.

I just start talking, I mean i can see their energy so i no theyre there.. and i just start talking not expecting any replies or anything and sometimes i just do it in my head

I would just speak aloud to my "Danny." He particularly liked to play with doors, but would always stop when asked. Other than that, I wwasn't very good at communication, I suppose. I would catch visual and/or auditory flashes of "him" but I don't know what he meant to accomplish through that.

I had one walk in here to the bedroom a few nights ago while I was on the cpu. I heard a creak on the floor like someone just walked in to the room. And then it's like I could feel their energy and that they were walking up to stand behind me. So I just turned around looked up and grinned at him, I said nothing else. This was my 1st time I was able to feel more about the spirit than other than it was there. This time I could tell that it was a very large man, real stern and tough looking like one not to be messed with. Almost felt like he was some long deceased family member. But he just stood there for a few and then was gone.

I've seen the ghost of one cat who used to live with me, but the 'human' spirit is more felt, I guess. I've only heard him once, & he scared me silly. He's a mischievious spirit & moves things, so mostly I yell because I want stuff back.
