A close friend of mine had a Lung Transplant on the 4th of Oct.
She came off the respirator today and could use the prayers, energy and well wishes of anybody willing to do so.

Valerie is a married woman (wow! Ive known her since she was a little kid.) who has CF. She has been waiting for her lungs for some time now. I think the procedure was done in St. Louis.
Her husband is a registered nurse. The recovery from these procedures is usually very painful. They make you get up the very next day and walk if you are off the ventilator.

I hope and pray that things go well for her and her husband.
(fingers crossed, salt thrown, spit expelled, brooms upright, ladders put up and all that.)

Flar7 asked me to update you all on Valerie. She is to be released from the hospital soon. She is doing great but needs lots of positive energy still. The recovery process is tedious and painful. Send all you can spare.


Flar7 is also doing well. He is in for a run of antibiotics and aside from me trying to kill him with huge amounts of air in his port last night he is doing just fine!

Air is good, sometimes. As the stars appeared before my eyes and a great light became apparrant, I saw Elvis.

She didnt do it. She's innocent judge! I swear.

Alls well that ends well.
