Singing like an angel

(credits to Rosie Björkman)

When doing something you do everyday (cooking, cleaning or whatnot) take the opportunity to do this little practice. It is called the singing the sounds of an angel. These sounds of an angel are healing, calming and powerful.

Take deep breaths as always, down below your belly button... And when you breathe out sing the sound O as in top (said with a british accent) and make sure your mouth form a circle and that the sound is moved a bit more forward in your mouth than you usually would do when you say top. Sorry I can't think of a better word to describe this sound.

The second sound is åh (in swedish) as in call. So take a deep breath and as you breath out sing the åh sound.

The third sound is ah as in back. Deep breath and start singing... hold each sound for as long as you can...

The fourth sound is eh, like in piercing... (the ie sound in piercing). Breath in, and start singing.

The final sound is i as in heal. And this time sing it whit the highest note you can make for as long as you can on one breath.

It is done!

Cool, Emy! You've essentially described the most basic elements of Galdr.

Funny..we did the same thing in voice lessons. So..if you do this every day, you'll also train your diaphraghm, and your vocal chords to sing properly:) One additional hint, if I might add...To get a rich, full sound, make sure your mouth is open wide enough so that it doesn't put a strain on your vocal chords, experiment until you find what is a comfortable position for your mouth. Also..keep the tip of your toungue toward the bottom of your bottom teeth. And slightly removed from them.

in Ballet seem very closely related to those of Eastern Martial Arts........and some of the movements are even healing..... and I wonder where in the dim and distant past the artists were "separated from the magicians "........but some of the essences of what was practiced lived on............
