I'm baaacccckkk!!!

We finally got the internet hooked up today. YAY We officially closed on our house on 2/28. We started working on the kitchen that night but didn't start moving in until Wednesday after that. It took 2 night to pull down the nasty wallpaper in the kitchen. Only to find out why there was wallpaper there...the walls are horrible!! But it's staying for now!!! Then there's our first shower...apparently when they turned the gas back on, they turned the heat all the way down. So we had an almost warm shower for about 30 seconds before it got really cold!!! And the shower was messed up...water would come out of the faucet even thought the shower was running. So we replaced the faucet and it's okay now. Then there's the smell of dog pee everywhere. We've cleaned it a couple times but we're going to have to hire the pros to do their best. If they can't fix it then we're going to ahve to wait until nexy years tax return to replace the carpet. I've still got a few boxes to unpack, but I'm taking it slowly. I figure within another day or 2 it will officially feel like home!! And I guess it'll feel even more like home once the previous owners get their stuff out the backyard!!!

So yeah, I'm back!!! YAY :weirdsmil

as for the smell, try pulling up a small out of the way corner and see what's under the carpet....could be you can yank it all up and have great hardwoods underneath....anythings better than that particular smell yuck

We've already tried that. We've only got hardwood in the foyer...concrete everywhere else :(
