Stone/Crystal Storage

:fpeek: I was just wondering what kind of storage box, drawers, bags people use to store their stones, crystals, gemstones. I am getting a large collection of smaller stones and am in need of ideas of how to store them. Currently they are in an old dice bag but I am afraid they will chip each other too much. What do you use to store your stones or any other small trinkets, herbs, etc?

i am using a small drawer box with plastic drawers like you would use for screws etc. each stone variety has their own drawer in alphabetical order and a name tag for greater convenience. that is my my personal stones. thus tehy get light and air (the drawers arent totally colsing air out), plus the vives of the stones stay inside

my stones on stock: stored in plastic boxes without lids. the boxes being in treys plastic or paper like you buy bulk of fruit/vegetables. I ask them if they like it, and its fine for them. they are kind and less active in te box, but when taken out, boy what an energy rush
they are cleansed regularly, so they get the airing feeling too.

I use small satin or suede drawstring pouches. These pouches have sat under my altars during rituals, so I feel they are blessed and special.

A lot of my smaller tumbled stones that I have quite a few of I keep in plastic organizers. I found them in the craft section at Wal-Mart. I had gotten about four different sized ones for around $5. The ones I carry on myself I keep in a velvet pouch that hangs around my neck. Other special ones that I want to carry around for the day I put into organza bags and put them in my purse. Some that I only have a couple of I put into organza bags and set them into my large velvet bag so they're all handy when I want to do grids. My crystal points I keep wrapped in muslin. My apophyllite pyramids and my malachite panther I keep in a mirrored glass box that I had gotten from the salvation army. I'm pretty anal about my stones and take very good care of them while still remaining on a budget. :uhhuhuh:

I keep mine out on the mantle in my bedroom. I would like to have a shadow box on the wall to keep them in. I actually have a neat littel cabinet I need to mount that might just do the trick...thanks for reminding me!
