Reiki vs. Quantum Healing

I met a woman who was telling me that she finds quantum healing to be more powerful than reiki. I was just wondering what the similarities and differences between reiki and quantum healing.

I just got an email back from a QT instructor saying that I am on the list for a workshop in April.
And for years I've been interested in Reiki. I don't think there needs to be a competition, any knowledge is worth having. But Id have to say that it -sounds- (and i say sounds because although i am scheduled to experience and learn both, I am not a practioner or expert of either.) to me like Quantum touch is more of raising energy and fucusing it into a body. where I have heard acounts of Reiki practitioners where they have seen the person's (that they are working on) past lives, and many say they go inside the body and can see the problem while correcting it. (Just what I have heard) I havent heard the same accounts from QT practitioners. And yes I have also heard that QT is "Supercharged Reiki" But I only saw that as an advertisment for QT my advise to you is what I did, Sign up for a workshop and see what the fuss is about :) you don't really know hwat something is like for you, untilll you do it yourself, If i were to come back and tell you my preference and they way it all worked for me, Might be different from what you would experience and prefer.

I heard of quantum touch being quite powerful. However, I also agree with Quilana. It shouldn't be a competition. Different things work better with different people. It seems like in the new age community if they want to sell an energy system it has to be compared to reiki. (just my opinion it wasn't a personal attack) I would get some kind of free demostration before you decide.

Yeah, definitely. No competition. I was just wondering about the differences. What makes quantum touch "quantum touch" and not reiki? They both sound great ways to heal. :thumbsup:

If you mean Quantum Touch, there's no reason you can't use it *with* reiki. I don't know which is better, but my guess is that both together would be more effective than one or the other alone. Also, as far as I know, quantum touch is very easy to learn on your own, no cost involved... and Richard Gordon says reiki practitioners have called Quantum Touch a turbocharge for their reiki, so I don't think there's any need to choose between one or the other.

Also, more powerful doesn't necessarily mean better!

Both use different techniques to a common goal. Reiki is far older than QT, and it utilizes several symbols and visualizations (as I was told by a friend who is a 3rd level or whatchamacallit certified teacher of reiki), to aid in the process and to call forth the energy. Both are channelling energy from somewhere else through you, etc. QT is a much more modern approach, to my knowledge.

yes they are not to be used in competition,, to do so comes from ego.

reiki involves attunement to your body chakras, which allows more energy to flow through your centers. in western reiki those centers usally are the crown and the hands centers.
and in the west we are taught to use symbols to focus on particular energy flow.
such as the power symbol for physical healing, emotional symbol, mental symbol and spiritual symbol for starters.
other systems add more symbols to their system that serves to align the chakras for example.

in quantum touch there is no attunements.
just a intent to open your heart,
and breathing.
and it is said not to be draining as long as you come from love and not force, and the breathing is a like a regulator

and reiki praticoners in richard book says that it is like turbo charging their reiki..

and what happens is when a reiki person is focusing on their symbols in the beginning, they may not be focused straight from love for they want to get the symbols right

then an qt teacher or praticoner comes and offers them to come from their heart, as well as use this special breathing techique.
it may be awkward at first but you have a more focused approach allowing the energy of the creator to come more purely and strongly.

I am theorizing that after that is done,, one can add colours,, and tonings. to even greater effect.

healing modalities for me is not about which is better, but to combine them for more effective healing.
and recall that we do not do anything,, but sit there with the intent to send love for our sisters and brothers.
it is they who heal themselves, though sometimes their mind are not ready,, or their soul contract requires that they learn from the disease even if it means death..
and even in such cases our giving of healing helps them in their learning process that they decided to understake.

so look not at reiki vs quantum touch, or qiqong,, or guides work..
instead look to merge reiki with qt, guide work, colour healing, toning,, whatever we can offer.
example many reiki pratcioners offer crystal healing as well
and imagine if you offer herbal drink that one is trained in afterwards as well?

the learning is to learn as much as you can in sharing yourlove in whatever ways come to you :)
