Which Tarot deck(s) would you recommend for a complete beginner? I know nothing about Tarot, but I would like to start learning. Are some decks better than others? What do you recommend? :whatmewor

I hear the Whimsical Tarot is good for beginners.
The choice of a Tarot deck is a very personal thing. You really need to feel a connection with it. Or sometimes the deck will find its way to you, somehow.
My first deck was the Thoth Tarot and, even though I have worked with other decks since, it remains the one I always turn to when I need a really honest reading.

You can check out these tarot decks and others here :

It dpends on what your tastes in decks are as to what would be best for you. Some Say Rider waite, but it is up to you. In that link mentioned in the above post go search through the list of decks and see what you like.

Also if your new could I suggest Tarot for Beginners by P Hollander, a very straight forward book for begginers it is what I used when I first
started learning..
