Just wondering,
Where do you guys buy your crystals? I want to start using and studying them, but I don't want to buy them from New Age stores that jack up their prices. I heard you could buy them at bead stores. Have any of you bought them there?
Thanks.

I haven't been to any bead stores so not sure about there. I don't have nearly as many as I'd like but I'm slowly adding to my collection. :hmmmmm: If you know a great deal about which stones could be dyed and what they're suppose to naturally look like eBay is good. Lapidary shops and gem shows are also good and usually they're cheaper. Sometimes I've seen gemstone nugget beads at Wal-Mart but they're not very cheap. CzechWoods also sells crystals I think.

I also offer different sizes of quartz crystal, but thats all I carry in crystals. I'm sure CzechWoods has more selection (and expertise,) but if your in the U.S. and just looking for Clear or Milk quartz, I might have something for you. I make pendants with them.

I have a store in a couple of the malls in my area that have the tumbled variaty of gemstones fairly cheap. its called Magical Gardaen I think that is how it is spelled. I am not sure if they have an internet site though. You can fill up a pouch with stones for like $5 or so. I go there for those, and cleanse them when I get home.

I think I have post something similiar to this... But....
I bought most of my stones online. :) (And some from the Sea Shell shop near my work)
The 2 websites that I have made purchase are...:
Multistone International, Inc. (http://www.multistoneintl.com/) - But it's a WHOLESALE store... You have to buy them in bulk. There's a minium charge of $100.00 --- There are lots and lots of stuff to check out on the website :) I have bought tumble stones and beads from them.
Then there's Robyn (http://www.crystalsandjewelry.com/) Who sells jewelry on her web site, but she also sells individual tumbled (and raw form) stones.
At Tubmled-Stones (http://www.tumbled-stones.com) They sell tumbled stones by lbs.
As suggested, MW Auction and eBay are good resource too. However, on eBay, you really have to pay attention to the shipping charges... I have seen a seller posting up to sell an Aqua Aura stone.. and selling it for $1.00 --- yet the shipping was like $50.00......... :rubhead:
