for a few weeks now I have thought my daughter has been seeing faeries.. she looks at the tops of the curtains and giggles shes always looking at the edge of her bassinet or over our shoulders laughing but the last few days mostly at night she'll be looking around the same as usual and then all of a sudden she'll scream like shes terrorfied of something and we cant calm her down.. now shes had some trouble with colic and reflux but all of that is under control and her screams are not pain screams.. if i pick her up and walk around she will calm down once we get under the living room light or if i take her into the bedroom and put the lamp on she will settle but once we come back out to the living room she starts again.. the poor little thing is so stressed out its not funny.. our home is calm no one yells or fights so it cant be anything like that so the only other thing i can think of is that it might have something to do with the faeries..
my question is could there be dark fae or something along those lines that is scareing her and if so what can be done about it??
I dont know much about this and the books i have dont say much about it either.. anything you can tell me would be great..

Pixies and goblins seem to have this affect according to folklore. I have heard of dark fairies, but the majority of dark fea tend to begoblins and pixies. I would suggest a cleansing spell, and/or a protection spell in that room to protect her.

Pixies and goblins love to make mischief, so it wouldn;t surprise me at all if this were the case for your daughter. I know fairies do not like iron, specifially an iron spike or an iron cross I've seen used to ward fairies from a space. Obviously, the spike may not be a good choice for baby's room. You might also try making a witch ball which can confuse astrals etc. that may come into the space. A witch ball can be made by getting a silver ball (a christmas ornament works well for this) and filling it with herbs and various snippets (varying lengths) of silver or red threads and yarn.(obviosly you have to charge it and all that) hang it in your daughter's room.
I hope this helps.

Try nailing an iron nail or an iron cross above the door (and maybe the windows) of her room. You could also try protection spells throughout the house, and if that doesn't work, try modifying them so that they're specifically to keep the fae away.

In Edain McCoy's book "A Witches Guide to Faery Folk...she describes one way to keep Fay away from a baby is to tie garlic or Rue over a baby's crib..or Rosemary on the windowsills..also keeping a mirror near the childs bed. She also mentions the witch bottle as well. There are a variety of ideas listed in that book that may help.
It is interesting to note that in Brian Frouds first Faery book he mentioned a need to bannish a faery that was frightning his son...but, he did not say how he did it...The story sounded very much like yours ....

Also in that same book it says
"if including them in your circle you should say your incantation 5x instead of three, Bluebells ringing means malicious Faeries are about, door harps scare them away. For protection it says to use clove, bay leaves, acorns, frankinsence, garlic, cinnamon, vaerian, basil, blackberry, mints, pepper, sandalwook, ashes, cactus, needles, pine needles, lavender, mandrake, broom, heather, or rowan, in gouffa bags and place them around your house. Its speaks of cats chasing away any Faeries and that they will not enter into a garden where tomatoes grow. It doesnt say exactly why, but I I was reading a lot of "protect yourself from Faeries" stuff, I have two children babies really and since teh Fae dont always have the best intentions I wanted to be armed with some protection amulets. There are ancient references of protection of mulberry bushes thus the fairy tale song "here we go round the mulberry bush..."

You could use a potion of dill, parsley, and/or any other purification herb. You could also put a purifying stone in the water before you boil it.:bigredgri
