March 14th, 2005, 11:13 AM
May Non-Fiction Occultish books. We are trying something different in the month of May. We are going to choose an occult book, and a fiction book. If this works then we will be doing this each month. If it doesn't get good results then it is back to the one book a month.

what is this gospel of mary magdalene about?

March 18th, 2005, 06:33 PM
It is a translation from the Coptic Language of teaching that Mary Magdalene gave. Of course, they are written in the same manner that all the gospels of the bible were written. This one was part of the Berlin Codex that is supposed to have been discovered in a bookstore in Egypt. There is more to this story, but I have forgotten it at the moment. It is quite interesting as far as what I have read, as it gives a much different view of the teachings of Jesus, without all of the trappings of the organization of Rome hung on it. It is of the faith that woud say, "Thou art God". It is more Eastern in flavor than the organized religions Gospels. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0892819111/qid=1111185338/sr=8-2/ref=pd_csp_2/002-2810693-8517634?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

Well join up then. I notice that no one is voting for the Lon Milo DuQuette book, but It is a great read for anyone who is interested in Ceremonial magic, Tarot, and Astrology. It is Qabalah but it explains so much.

I just finished it. Cuz I saw that we weren't gonna be doing it, and all I can say is WOW
