My doctor thinks that I have MS and I am not dealing with this too well....that is why I have not been around too much.
My vision and balance....is giving me a really hard time. I fall all over the place.....and can't focus on anything....
just figured I would let you all know what is going on.

I am sending you all the comforting energies I can spare right now, Hon. My Mother has Multiple Sclerosis as well. She has had it since the age of 16 (The youngest reported case back then). I've seen her health deteriorate greatly throughout the years. I won't share all the details unless you'd like me to, but she has been bedridden since '85. She gets up for a half hour a day (her home health aides use a hoyer lift to get her up), but can stay up for no longer than that or it will upset her bedsores (she has two currently), or create more. She's legally blind, and completely paralyzed from the waist down.

MS is a vile, merciless disease. I've seen what it can do and I hope and pray that one day they find a cure.

I really wish I could offer some words of encouragement. I'm here if you ever need to talk.

Oh hon, this kind of news is always hard to take. Take heart, though...he/she may be wrong if they're only guessing what it is. Try not to succumb to depression or fearful thoughts before you know for sure what it is. It's often difficult to diagnose.

First of all, don't panic. MS affects different people differently, I would first get a second opinion because its symptoms can be similar to other brain disorders. Second there are people who have MS who never exhibit any symptoms in their entire lives and only found to have it during autopsy.

They don't know 100% what causes MS, but one of the chemicals your brain needs is produced during exercise... Another reason to keep in shape!

Even if you have MS, there is still a possibilty that your brain will repair itself. So all hope is not lost. I'm sending you some Reiki energy just in case! :)

get a second opinion and IF it turns out to be MS there's still a pretty good chance you can lead a pretty normal life. There are some good medication out there these days. My stepmother's brother's girlfriend has MS and she's really active and lives a normal life. She'll get some problem sometimes, but they usually pass and she's back to normal within weeks.

I can understand how you feel---SCARED, but maybe little relieved that all of these screwed up symptoms are just all in your mind. MS is a very elusive disease. Getting a correct diagnosis is part of the battle. I can relate because I am in the process of being tested also. Healing and good wishes to you. You can PM if you need to talk. Hang in there.
