Hello... looking for general chart.

My birthday is January 23 1985 born in concord mass at 2:55 pm My sun is in Aquarius thought I am on a cusp with capricorn, I have a gemini ascendant, moon in pisces and I believe a venus in pisces. I got to doing the things as they go around the wheel but then I had to leave work and the astrology book (I work at BN lol) so I am wondering where to go from there? Like which planet is in my first house if my first house is in gemini, etc? Thanks.

Also any insight into a relationship with me and a man born on feb. 20 1978 at around 6 am in kalamazoo michigan would be great, like any big conflicts in his 'scope, as it generally tends not to sound like him in some ways. He's my fiance. Thanks!

Meghan

Well, looking at your chart, here's the scoop:

Astrolog32 chart for Meghan:

The way to figure out what planets are in what houses is to look at the cusps of each house. For example, you have your Moon, Venus and Mars all in Pisces (5,20 and 22 respectively). But the 10th house cusp is at 19 Pisces. This means anything between 22 Aquarius (the 9th cusp) and 19 Pisces will fall in the 9th house. In this case, your Moon is the 9th house, while your Venus and Mars are in the 10th. Make sense?

As far the relationships goes, he's a Sun in Pisces, Moon in Leo and AC in Capricorn. Your Acs are in a loose opposition to each other, which says that you make a good match. He projects himself as more of an ambitious and serious go-getter, but is really looking for someone to nurture him. He likely wants a home and/or family, so he's looking for that in a relationship. You are the nuturing/mother-type and choose to be with others who are responsive and do not threaten you. With your Moon in Pisces and the setting Uranus, you are more likely than most to need to need personal space and prefer not to draw too much attention to yourself.

As far as possible conflicts/issues go, your charts form a nice, positive water trine: your Saturn, Mars, MC and Venus to his Mars and DC. Mars relates to your romantic desires. It determines how sexually aggressive you are, and the raw passion, or lack of it, in your nature. Thus, Mars takes on the role of pursuit. This is why the symbol of Mars is also the symbol for the male. Venus, on the other hand, relates to the way in which you attract a mate. It represents the softer side of love; romance and emotional response to love. This role of attracting a mate links the sign of Venus with the female. The interaction of the two say a great deal about the chemistry between two people. Adding in the DC cusp (rules relationships and partnerships), the MC and Saturn, its likely that you two met at work or doing some sort of activity where you have common interests - as opposed to through friends or at a bar. The qualities of Saturn in Scorpio points to expressions that do not come naturally. Saturn feels awkward or inhibited expressing the energies of this sign, and often will try to compensate by trying to exercise control over these characteristics in your personality. the fifth house rules things like children, love affairs, creative tendencies and what you do for fun.

You are intent upon understanding the forces that operate behind the scenes. Surface appearances mean little to you; you are searching for deeper meanings and core truths. Knowledge is power; and power - over yourself, other people, your environment - is what you are really seeking. You may fear that you have little control over your own life; and this sense of helplessness might lead you to attempt to dominate people and situations. How you exercise your power, whether you use it to limit and manipulate others or to help them, probably will be a significant issue for you in this life. You may have opportunities to do great good or great harm; and the choice you make could be one of your 'tests'.

This placement of Saturn often concurs with a reluctance or inability to have children; or the children may bring burdens, responsibilities, or pain. This is the traditional interpretation of a fifth house Saturn. You may deny yourself love in the sense that, not loving yourself or being able to understand your own value, you are afraid that no-one else will find you lovable either. This could be a problem if your SO wants children, so make sure to talk to him if the relationship goes much further.

Blessings!
Keishin

sorry I am a bit confused on the cusps between houses part. What is that all about? Also, you thing says my ascendant is in cancer? is that right? The chart in the book I consulted said gemini and it seemed pretty accurate. Thanks for thing all this time to answer my questions! Also, do you see anything in my BF's horoscope to indicate contraints on sexuality? Thanks.

If she got the info from astro.com, it's very accurate. You do have a heavy Pisces influence in your chart. Pisces can be just as flighty as Gemini, Pisces goes more on emotion where are Gemini is more intellectual.

I got the chart through Astrolog, but I double-checked it on astro.com and it comes out the same - Cancer Ascendant. What book did you use to calculate your Ascendant? Was it one that said something along the lines of "if you were born between x-time and y-time and your sun sign is x than you're a ___"? Those are never perfectly accurate, due to many factors.:eyez:

I've attached a picture of your chart, which may help you visualize things better.

First question:
As far as charts go, there are three main parts in all of them - the planets, the signs and the houses. The analogy I use is that planets are the actors, the signs are the roles they play and the houses are where they play those roles. So if you were a comedian playing at a nightclub, you would act different than if you were a comedian playing at a funereal.

So the houses are very important when putting a chart together, but they don't go exactly from the start of one sign to the next. I could say that your first house (aka Ascendant) starts with Cancer on the cusp, but that doesn't mean any planet in Cancer is automatically in the first house. The solid black line that is running from the far left to the center is the beginning of your first house. I know that because there is a little '1' near the center of the circle. There is another black line coming out from the center just below that one (less bold) which is the cusp of your second house, because of the number '2' next to it. Like a street address, this tells me exactly where your first house begins and ends. In your case, the start is 12 Cancer and finishes at 1 Leo.

So any planets you hypothetically had between 12 Cancer and 1 Leo would be placed in the first house. You can, if you choose, look at your chart and see where the rest of the cusps fall in your chart and use that to tell what planets are in what house. then you can either look up interpretations or a better solution would be to hang out here and ask us lots of questions!

Second question:

In your boyfriend's chart, specifically for constraining sexual issues I look at five things - Saturn, Vesta, Gemini with its ruler, Pisces with its ruler, and if Jupiter or Mars is badly aspected.

Warning, intense astrologer speak follows: (more for the benefit of the other astrologers reading this post). In his case, Saturn is in Virgo (7th), Vesta is in Sag (10th), Gemini rules the 4th, with its ruler in Aquarius in the 1st; Pisces rules the 2nd, ruled by Neptune in Sag in the 11th, and outside of a couple of quincunxes, Jupiter is in detriment and Mars is in fall. Ouch. :holycow:

In interpretation, I would say that, yes it is quite possible for him to have fridigity problems - sorry kiddo. He has problems with spontaneity and could have some health problems interfering with things in your relationship (Saturn in Virgo in the 7th). Usually these problems are not all his fault, but due to a set of many circumstances. He may have problems with feeling isolated too. With the Sun in Pisces and the Mercury placement his feelings restrict the ability to think objectively. He can be detached from his feelings, so is not usually overwhelmed by them. Natural intuition is also controlled by more logical thinking processes. His self-confidence needs boosting if the most is to be made of this potential. Vesta in Sag can speak to denial of passion, often due to overwork (10th house) or being too focussed on mental or higher-mind pursuits, than those of the physical body. He doesn't challenge the demands made of him by others.

When a planet is in its detriment it literally works against itself. For example, I would expect a Jupiter in Virgo person to be detail-oriented to the extreme, an expansion of facts, a sense of superiority based on knowledge of facts or superiority based upon cleanliness or orderliness. People born with Jupiter in Virgo are often overwhelmed by details. They get overly worried by inconsequential details - they lose sight of the larger picture. Jupiter in Virgo periods sometimes signal a need to slow down and reassess the situation. Mars in Cancer tends to have a somewhat uneven or erratic sexual quality. People with this placement can go for lengthy periods when they have little or no interest in sex. These periods are interspersed with other periods of extremely sensuous, amorous, and occasionally even promiscuous behavior. Sometimes, there are bouts of impotence or other sexual problems. However, if he's sure he's loved, he's liable to be both refined and faithful, even if not always in the mood for sexual frolics.

My advice, from experience - give him a little space, lots of comfort and just be there for him when he needs it. Just becuase his chart says he *could* have issues* doesn't mean he will have issues forever.

wow... that is so interesting. I just wonder how all of this stuff works out to be true. Do you think the planets assert some sort of gravitational pull on your brain or whatever? lol. Its just so odd. That really helps me understand better though. I will be back to elaborate and probably ask more questions later. lol. Thanks so much for all of the time you have spent on this.. Just out of curiosity (uh oh.. more questions ;)) if you have the time, would you be able to compliment his 'sexual astrology' with what mine would indicate about me? Only if you want to though, I know this can take a lot of research. The reason why I ask is just because while we are best friends and very good in our relationship in all other ways, some bedroom aspects could use improvement as far as trying new things and loosening up. let me know if its TMI lol. Thanks again Keishin!!

No I don't mind at all. I love doing this stuff!

Okay, using the same factors as above, you have:
Saturn in Scorpio (5th) ruled by Venus in Pisces (10th)
Jupiter in Capricorn (7th) ruled by Saturn in Scorpio (5th) - in fall
Mars in Pisces (10th) ruled by Neptune in Capricorn (6th) - mild aspects
Vesta in Libra (5th) ruled by Venus in Pisces (10th)

What this tells me:
When Mars is in Pisces, a subtle approach to flirting and sex is taken on. You are generally open to all of the avenues of sexual expression, especially the one smost peoplke don't think about. You defintely like variety in the bedroom. At times romantic and gooey, you are actually a bit like a chameleon. It's hard to pin you down to any one style. I look now to Saturn which tells me you have intense desires and they run deep, but can be aroused under the right circumstances. Sex and Scoprio run pretty much synonymous! Your Venus and Mars are in conjunction, which is huge - you are both sensuous and sensual. Romance and all forms of love come easily to you. Be careful that you don't expect too much from your partner, who is not so easily open and giving.

Looking at Jupiter, it's not happy being placed in the natural sign of Saturn. Jupiter is about expansion, while Capricron is about restriction, so these two don't work well together. You have your wild side with Mars and Venus, but this Jupiter shows you may yearn for a more traiditional and predictable relationship. You experiment with your lovers, but you're not likely to be found using whips and chains in the bedroom. Vesta could cause issues with you denying your own wants to take care of your partner's (that strong Pisces signature again too!). But there needs to be a reciprocal give-and-take to complement Libra's need for harmony. Make sure that you speak up for what you want as well!

you are so awesome.. thank you so much for all your time! I just got home from work, so my brain is fried, thus I will be back a bit later to clear up any questions I might think of. So what kind of resources do you use to do this type of thing? Is a lot just in your head from doing it so often?

Yeah, for the most part it's in my head. But when I'm doing something specific to a chart I use on of my many astrology books for pointers. After a while, you find that Mars is always Mars, no matter what sign or house he's in. His temper just changes slightly.
