Lately my 2 year old has developed a mean rash on her bottom. she's potty trained and only wears a diaper at night. When she was younger she occasionally got diaper rash... but why now when she wears a diaper so seldom? and this is worse than she's experianced before. It also seems to be itchy andn she spends a lot of time scratching her bum. Of course i thought she might have pin worms but around her actual business end its all clear, this seems to be all about her cheeks, nothing anywhere else. I let her run bottomless as much as possible for it to dry out and get some sun, but that doesn't seem to have helped. I bathe her before bed and often she joins me in the shower in the morning.. which i figure can't hurt getting the urine from the night off her bum.. I was coating her up with baby lotion before bed to keep her skin out of contact with pee over night, but no improvement...I started today putting zinc oxide laced udder cream on her. it looks like pimples really....no pattern, no illness associated with it.
