Hey dose any one know anything about calico in california

I went there many many many years ago when I was little. I almost went again last summer, its just a few miles from where my dad lives now. I believe its actually an old mining town that they turned into a tourist attraction, but I'm not positive on that, it may be a fabricated town. I can't remember if there is a mine (or a fabricated mine) to go through but I think that there may be. I think its nice little trek through the past. Sorry that's all rather vague but its been a long time since I was there.
